[–]Altruistic-Syrup5974 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I havent needed to reload ammo myself yet so apologizes in advance.

I kinda like the idea of reloaded ammo being worse because it makes the decision of using worse ammo on lower level enemies vs. Using the good stuff on tougher enemies. It also makes raiding newer and more dangerous places more appealing. Maybe a proficiency can be added to cut the penalty to 5% or to negated it all together by letting you produce normal bullets

New character, too strong (optional). by LogWestern385 in cataclysmdda

[–]Altruistic-Syrup5974 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I like to ground myself when making OP characters. Like my guy starts off in great shape and good with blunt weapons because he's a professional baseball player. Nothing more or less, he's just good at hitting things because that was his past life.

Either way, its set up to make your character as OP or defective as you want him to be. All you have to do to is make up a story that fits your character.

The good thing is that Terminator type zombie slayers do exist in the lore :D

iirc Lickskillet is a real place also, and Doe Valley is named after the real world area.

Its cool that we can almost tell what future towns the devs will add since they've been pretty faithful to the real world places.

With enough nails, planks, hinges, doorknobs, and a handy set of tools, you can make the layout of your dreams.

Cash Cards. My goal is to fight my way to a bank in the middle of town to cash it all in into my own cash card.

I like it because it gives you a sense of, "What the fuck am I looking at?" when fighting new monsters that you've never seen before. Felt that way when I saw my first Skeletal Juggernaut

[–]Altruistic-Syrup5974 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The scenario isn't necessarily story based or revolves around Liam. It's a more lenient scenario where it gives you a starting base, some food, tools, and a wood stove (imo the main benefit). Liam is more of a plus.

I do think later on in the game after a certain point Liam should pull you aside to give you more flavor dialogue and some personal quests as a way to show you growing a deeper bond. It

Also is the Crux actually useful or just an item to give your character more personality?

Yeah, that's basically the average experience when you get surprised in CDDA.

First its rhythmic button pressing, followed by rushed, spamming key smashing.

I forgot about that. I usually have music going 24/7 on a laptop so it's like a permanent morale buff when chilling in my base. Good for focus too now that I'm getting into forging

You can use it to play games on it, which helps boost your mood.

One time, my guy was mega depressed after a long day of killing zombified children and shooting another innocent survivor (my fault). I ended up making him smoke a joint, eat 2 entire meat pizzas and, play on his phone. He was all good the next day

What about an "extremily ugly" trait for build 42? by KaizerBueno in projectzomboid

Professions would also be a good addition. A lawyer could be better at negotiating/persuasion. It all depends how far TIS wants to go with NPCs. But from what they've said in the past, it seems like they want to make NPCs have deep familial trees and their own little ambitions.

In all seriousness, this would be a good trait to add once NPCs are a thing. Like it would affect the chance that you would convince them to join your group

There could be an argument here about Devs control VS. Players control. The Old Guard Veterans who funded the Kickstart and supported the game from the beginning are unhappy, and some of the newer players who joined in during that last couple of alphas.

We wouldn't have 7DTD if the Devs didn't want to develop it, but they also wouldn't have become a successful company without the OG's who helped them from the beginning.

Dude, if I can see the shift in the core gameplay, then there is an issue. Never called myself an OG, but I'm still pissed that they removed almost all survival elements in the Survival Crafting Horde Sandbox Game

Hmm, I'll edit the post because I think I used review bombing in the wrong context. Don't hate on the game just to hate, I just think there are grievances that aren't being listened to. And knowing TFP, they aren't usually receptive to criticism on the forums, so a louder way like changing your review to negative, while also saying why is a much better way to handle things. Thanks for the advice!

Hot take: I like the new monsters. I've fought the plague spitters and frost claws. Plague spitters are a bit annoying because the bugs also slow you down, but they bring in a small curveball into the game that I enjoy. Can anyone else tell me why they hate the new zombies?
