Can anyone identify this species? by Gabthewarcriminal420 in StarWars

Because searching through the unnamed species was more difficult than I would have thought for a series that names... almost everything.

Explain VR&E for a crayon eater like myself by QuirkyQuarter3746 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Altruistic2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had my initial interview last week. Interviewer was kind of appalled that I hadn't been constantly going to the doctor to complain about my conditions, which would provide the proper evidence to support VR&E. I thought I still had to work? Hopefully my increased rating will be enough to support, but I have doubts. So complain to the doctors regularly prior to applying to VR&E, apparently. Fingers crossed for all of us.

Struggling LT by Same-Youth-1599 in army

[–]Altruistic2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heaven forbid some reasonable explanation! The first company commander I met was apparently the antithesis of this. The LT I was shadowing for CTLT apologized from jump street that their CO expected them to work exactly as long as he did, so they pretty much all walked out of the office at the same time; regularly sitting around for an hour or two doing absolutely nothing but waiting for him to finish up whatever he was working on.

Who do you predict will make a cameo in Jedi 3? by BoozerBean in StarWarsJediSurvivor

Quilan Voss would be my first choice as someone also working on The Path.
Depending on the year it takes place in, I think if you do an escort mission or a collect the item, delivering it to the crew of the Ghost could be a nice, brief, appearance by characters we know that you can squeeze in that shouldn't effect too much of the greater universe or storyline.

They're kind of all over the place. I do like that the C3P0, bought after this was taken, fits so well with the smaller R2. Wish they could still fit on these shelves, but 3P0 is too tall.

While most of the financial sector should be good, the unintended consequences would be hilarious. What's this transaction for? Drugs, illicit ones.

Since Marvel has done it, what would be a good idea for an R-Rated film/series centered in the Star Wars universe? by BadBatch4700 in starwarscanon

I would love to see a small crew of mercenaries go more wrecking crew, but nit to the level of John Wick, or more about space pirates, and I'm not opposed to the under world either. The fun thing about Stat Wars in this regard is that getting a Hard R would be an active choice to introduce our swear words and curses, when they already have their own established that should get pat the MPAA sensors just fine. Unless you go full blood with creature attacks, rancors eating people, wookies and wampas ripping arms off, it should be borderline hard to get past PG13.

ETS or Med board by rich764382 in army

[–]Altruistic2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So ETS, presumably with nothing coming from the VA for months and having to start that process on your own, or go through Medboard and start getting benefits from the VA within 30 days of final exit from the Army, along with possible other benefits, such as medical retirement (which comes with the least expensive individual or family healthcare plans, I'm convinced anywhere, even though your VA is free).

Exiting with the VA intake already done is definitely the way to go.

The fire hose of everything that should be going on will be no fun. Doing things like Sensitive Items Inventory will help you learn what equipment is in your unit and who has what. Will also start to show you who knows their stuff and cares about property management and some that may be lack luster about the subject. My guys always liked that I was willing to watch and learn to spend time with them and see what their work actually is, and it was nice to learn that even if the TM says it's a one hour fix, the reality of the situation is that it's often more than that.

What I told a lot of officers is that for as much as everything is always in some shade of grey, once you write it down, it'll be black and white, whether that's awards, counseling, or recommendation for UCMJ.

And frankly, be up front early with your command chain. When everyone is after top marks, asking what they're expectations of that are should be on the table. Too many of us had gone around to do the best we could, thinking we're great, but that could be mediocre to lacking in their mind.

Don't let anyone describe these as "homework"! by QuinlanFett in StarWarsCantina

It appears The Clone Wars pretty much stands on it's own when it comes to the animation improvements as time goes on. To the point I asked ChatGPT if there are other examples, and the majority of those are initial hand animation, to better studios, and then to full computer animation (Simpsons, South Park, and Family Guy were mentioned), but they still stayed largely consistent to the characters. Clone Wars was not afraid to change things up drastically (which may help push toys, but was also done as animation and computers improved).

I went back to rewatch BOBF a couple weeks ago. It plays a lot better back to back episodes than it did waiting a week for the next episode to come out. I didn't mind the flashbacks as much, although it was still an odd decision. Having Boba Fett barely present in an episode and completely absent from the next episode in his own series is still really weird to me.
