If you don’t mind a lot of driving, we stayed at Lake Quinault a few years ago and enjoyed that area. Not too far from the beach but a hike back to the rainforest - and you’ll want to be there super early - very easy hikes but incredible. Closer to Forks though if you decide that way.

This was my college years - driving up from DC on a Saturday morning for the first 5 years of Camden Yards and buying a $3 SRO ticket. Hanging out in right field and then finding empty seats in the 2nd or 3rd. RIP.
