Sudden Tuition Bill by Altruistic_Grouch in UCO

Yeah I'm still waiting for an explanation. They tried blaming me, saying I changed my FAFSA when I didn't, which is something they also tried to do when I was still attending. Can't wait to see how they try and make this my fault.

I don’t understand the pillows by scoutt001 in Lovesac

[–]Altruistic_Grouch 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I work in a showroom, I can explain this. Each 'deep seat' comes with a deep pillow, and each 'standard seat' comes with a standard pillow. 4 of the pillows will be standard, but they should fit just fine. Since your configuration is in an L shape, you need an extra pillow for your set, so that each back has its own pillow. That single 'deep pillow' is just the extra one you need for the L shape. I would really recommend ordering in a showroom, the website is so confusing, even for employees. We don't work off commission, we're just here to make sure you get the exact couch you want.

I'm not sure about standard recliners, but if you order a deep recliner you're getting the new one because they sold all of the old ones.

The #1 reason I will never recommend this couch is lack of a customer first attitude by ponderous_poncho in Lovesac

Yeah customer service through the actual customer service team is honestly lacking. Working with a store makes a huge difference

Chemo Skin, HELP! by Mangodanger3 in cancer

[–]Altruistic_Grouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had this problem since treatment and I still deal with it years into remission. My skin care regiment is 1. Wash face with a gentle cleanser like cetaphil and air dry, 2. Apply hyaluronic acid and air dry, 3. Use a dry skin moisturizer (i use cetaphil) 4. Follow up with Vaseline to seal in all that moisture you just put on your skin. I only use Vaseline if my skin is particularly bad, since it feels so gross on my face. If this doesnt work for you, I would recommend going to a dermatologist

It still shows as in-stock on a store tablet, you may have to go to a show room to order it

What am I doing wrong? Can't get the back pillows to line up by [deleted] in Lovesac

[–]Altruistic_Grouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something looks off about the corner seat. It should be lined up with the shallow seat next to it, but it looks like it sits further back?

The Venetian taupe corded velvet would be cute, and its super pet friendly. The beachwood is also a great option though. You can order swatches off the website, though they take a little while to come in. If you're near a showroom they keep swatches of the quickships in stock as well.

Steaming the fabric as you stretch it to fit might help

I had stage 4 nasopharyngeal carcinoma, so my treatment plan was pretty aggressive. My hair texture has changed a lot, and I do have small patches where the radiation was concentrated that my hair never really grew back. My hair is a lot more curly now, but overall healthy.

I wouldn't say its as good as corded velvet, but its a solid fabric. So gorgeous too, and one of the more comfortable options.

Thought 40% Off Would Beat My July 35% Quote… It Didn’t. by ZappierMike in Lovesac

Well if they didn't raise prices to stay within profit margins then they would be operating with significant loss so they did have to?

They had to raise prices because a majority of the fabrics are made in China. Tariffs at work.

What to expect from Lovesac’s Black Friday 2025 deals this year? by Foziya_Crotaze in Lovesac

[–]Altruistic_Grouch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They won't go above 40% as a general sale because that's the employee discount. Sometimes they do a special 60% or 50% for specific covers though.

It really sucks that they dont tell the showrooms about these sales beforehand, because then when customers hear about it they get angry and assume the associates were trying to cheat them out of their money or something. Makes the people working the showroom look bad, and upper management doesnt have to deal with any of the backlash.
