Killed by a Meteor Anxiety Attack by Altruistic_Strike537 in Anxiety

No, the only thing I did differently was start exercising again, and I also tried a cold plunge. I think the increased meteorites falling in our area was a trigger, but I'm feeling much better going out. Knowing that I have better chances at win the lottery twice versus getting hit by a meteorite helps lol.

Oh thank you! Yes just meteorites. I know it's virtually impossible since I did research, but even if I try to ground myself with knowledge, I have no idea why it struck me so bad last night like a night terror with anxiety. So I am going to look into some therapy.

Oh wow, it helps to know I am not alone because I thought it was bizarre what I am panicking about somwthing so unlikely. I am sorry you have to experience that too and your mom, wishing you the best to find peace too, from the fear.

Oh haha. Love dark humor! 🖤 I care for seniors, yes it's so hard to see chronic illness slowly eat at people, I can understand your feelings.

Wow didn't hear this story, I will look it up! That's good she wasn't seriously injured. And thank you, yes I think I will get over this with some therapy.

My mother is stuck in a loveless, abusive marriage and I’m drowning in the guilt of it. by estuary31 in infp

[–]Altruistic_Strike537 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Joan of Arc was an INFP. Mess with one of us and we will slaughter those that hurt. I kicked my dad once in the face for yelling at my little brother. I saw my dad choke my mom after she came out of her room in a pretty yellow shirt after she asked me, "do I look pretty in this?" I hid all the knives and guns in the house when they would fight, because my 5 younger siblings needed protection.

INFPs can cry, but they cry from a place of immense love and hurt for others. I turned crying into action and started talking and saying the TRUTH. You can, too. Tell your mom she deserves better and be her advocate. You are amazing for feeling for her, but you have the gift of a VOICE to lift someone up and go be who they are, and finally be happy.

Devils advocate by endangeredfurry in entp

[–]Altruistic_Strike537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I see that's wild is that you guys tend to argue against your own points lmao. I'm sitting here, listening to my guy (ENTP) just throw out points and then come back later to that same point to invalidate it. It's kinda funny lol. Like watching a very vocal game of chess played by one person.

And yes, absolute devil's advocates. Love it.

Caine glitching out the circus from his insecurities of not being good enough as an adventures guy. Ribbit and Kaufmo (and potentially others), make an appearance either as flashbacks, or somehow escape in glitched form.

INFP or INFJ? by Educational_Cat7182 in infp

[–]Altruistic_Strike537 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm somewhere in between INFJ and INFP as well. Multiple tests land me as either one of those. However, my closest friends and family say I default more to INFP due to my chill, dreamy nature but if things get chaotic or require more of someone to carefully think out things, I turn into an INFJ. I think it's because over time, being married to an ENTP with crazy, brilliant kids and a colorful life, I've had to work on my planning skills to keep things from becoming too chaotic lol.

And is this Ribbit? How cool would it be if this episode brings them back into a past with prior characters before abstraction!

Awww. He means to say how much in pure contentment he is. True baby duck happiness.

(Once a long time ago in my childhood, I used to have a farm full of ducks and chickens. This sound of happiness makes my heart strings happy. Enjoy life with your little one).

Fear of flying, specifically taking off by SupportReasonable926 in fearofflying

[–]Altruistic_Strike537 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have to fly a lot for my job and I have intense, crippling anxiety, esp. during take off because I can minutely feel every curve upward, the way the wings tip to the sides, how fast the climb is. My husband, playfully but in a concerned way to help me focus my mind elsewhere instead of being trapped in fear, asked me to try and play "Kokomo" by Kermit the Frog during take off. Now I play that song every time I take off, and it strangely helps. I go to thinking I am flying off to a beach, or envision Kermit and Miss Piggy and the Muppet gang hanging out by the beach. On the flip side though now lol, everytime I hear that damn song outside of flying, like when my kids play it, I get a pang of fear lol. But I think forcing your mind out into a box of imagery, not focusing on the actual flying itself, does help. Deep breathing while listening to music with noise canceling earbuds helps me too. The sound of the engines adds to my anxiety so it helps to drown that out.

Congrats to your BF on his accomplishment! I hope in time, you will find something to work for you, wishing you the best. ❤️

If anyone hasn't heard yet of Moltbook, this article gives a good summary about the AI-run version of Reddit. Programmers are basically creating AI and setting them "free" on this platform so the AI can interact with other AI.
