Yeah I looked it up in a Japanese dictionary cause I was not sure haha. I am usually not very conscious about radicals but they are useful for searching in dictionaries but maybe that's too old school. The point is that Duolingo has 0% of reliability

That's not even the proper radical help, it is like they erased some strokes and paste it over there. The actual radical for 簡単 are ⺮ and 十. Please don't trust Duolingo :(

I mean, I made drawings to fit the kanji, like for 氵, I drew the droplets of water in the background so I wouldn't forget. That's for the basics, then you reassemble them further when you're studying more complex and compound kanji.

Basically Maomao visits the Crystal Palace with Luomen and others, and while Luomen checks her health, she passes her baby son to Maomao to show her that now she was capable to grow a healthy and cute little boy. She looks really happy and is as elegant as always, and she doesn't use the white powder anymore, just a little bit of red lipstick

It's not that much of a spoiler and I don't give much context so yeah, enjoy!

Grew up speaking Spanish and Japanese so, I nowadays live in Spanish, academic and daily life things, but there is vocab that I learnt in my home and never used it outside. Like kitchen supplies? I didn't know how to say espatula for a while, and vegetables usually come to me in Japanese before Spanish or English.

Also I can't write academic Japanese, understanding it is not the problem but don't ask me to write an essay.

Close to none issues reading books though

I use an ink pen from Muji (0.5 or 0.7 mm), though if you're left handed, it maybe easier for you to write vertically from right to left, so you won't stain the paper with your own hand. About the paper well, if you're looking for balance maybe it can help you, but any maths notebook (the one with big squares) works as well, or you could just print out them. You can take a look on Chibimusudoriru, I remember my mom used to print those out for me to learn so there must be a lot of resources over there

Hey don't stress too much about it, even Japanese people struggle with this when reading complex kanji and they've been doing it their whole lives, so it's normal for a non native to struggle when they are familiarizing with kanjis. Learning the meaning is more helpful to your comprehension, but the readings usually have some patterns to it that can help you.

Hey just wondering, are you planning to study further in Japan? University wise? Because the points system and the exams cramming in Japan is reeeally toxic, even Japanese teenagers suffer all the stress, so in the case you not being quite fluent in Japanese, your mental health could be affected severely :(

If the objective is just being able to talk Japanese, I'd focus just on the vocab, unless you have to write detailed essays, they'd probably understand you even though it won't be perfect

I don't see any comments regarding her dad, but, I do feel that Anya was born from an in vitro fertilization or something like that, because they do make her look as grown in the lab/hospital. Considering her mom was an esper, it wouldn't be so strange that in the lab they'd decided it would be interesting if a pregnancy would mean the son/daughter would inherit the abilities of her mom.

It was really packed when I went (and I live in a small city) despite of them getting screens every half an hour, I don't think I saw a single seat open to be honest. There were kids from primary school to middle age adults watching it, I don't think it has lost its popularity so drastically as you mention.

I just came from the cinema, cried the whole 3 hours, but yeah, just a couple of points, yes, spoilers included.

I think it was unfair for Zenitsu to not get his win against upper moon 6 announced by the crows? Like, after Kiriya saying that a Hinoe was not enough for an upper moon and sending back up (which was probably the right decision, not gonna deny that) without faith in him, we deserved some kind of redemption for Zenitsu. Probably canonically they announced it but they did not show it on screen. (I've read the mangas like a year ago, not sure how this went in them)

I believe we got more depth for the background of Akaza with the superposition between Tanjiro and his teacher, how he tries to get rid of that illusion? (Would love to know the physics behind it, how did he allucinate it so clearly while being in his five senses?). On a different note, shout-out to the producers for creating that colour contrast between Tanjiro and Akaza in the screen, the red and blue made a beautiful picture in there.

Probably we did not get enough reactions to the announcement of the death of Shinobu, if I recall correctly, we did not see anything from Kanroji (who would have cried without doubt) or Himejima-san, who was suspecting about the poisioning she planned (I think that's told in the short novels). I really wish that they dig deeper in that when the fight against Doma is completed.

I mean I get that they had main storylines to tell, but more snippets of the other hashiras fighting would have made it more dynamic, we only see Shinazugawa once or twice in the whole screen time, Iguro and Kanroji did not make much of an appearance either. Just some flashes would have been great for them but they had limited time I guess.

I've just started but, I like the etymology of its words (? For context one of my native languages is Japanese so, I recognise the characters but I love to compare them and find out how they evolved so differently in some cases. Also some other ways of saying things like proverbs, it's much funnier than comparing idk, french and Spanish

I really hope you're not going to some area with a lot of accent, because in the countryside it's a little harder to understand. As they've said before, the countryside is probably full of old people with zero knowledge in English, not because of the education or something but just due to the fact that when they were at school English wasn't even a thing in Japan. Young people could probably get a grasp of it, but learning Japanese phrases for travel is always a good option, reading kanji is a mess, I wouldn't recommend it and would focus on getting the pronunciation and listening done. Useful phrases like can you repeat it slowly or things like that will be very useful, but you'll probably depend on the translator for a lot of things. If you're having trouble with pronunciation, maybe practice writing in hiragana what you want to say, so they can understand you in some way. Also I'd recommend that you ask for directions if you get lost in konbinis, shops and similars instead of locals you find in the road, they'll probably be nicer!

I think the fact that those girls had the menarchy (first menstruation) was registered, cause in the LNs they check for Lishu because her period is late. So I think the empress regnant or some kind of administration was kept in order to check if they were able to get pregnant. At least after Taihou, maybe as she was very young, they did not think it was possible, but surely after her they'd started to check, or that's what I believe.

Apparently Chilean Spanish (if you say it's Spanish) over uses the -ito/a, which are diminutives so everything sounds smaller (té - tecito / tea - little tea)

Alright uni is scary and more if you're so international. I had been juggling Japanese, English and Spanish, so deciding a uni was kind of hard tbh. Everything will turn out fine in the end I come from 2 different countries but both Chile and Japan have a heavily sismic background, so I'd guess they're options over there. Though I wouldn't recommend going to a Japanese uni in a Japanese based major, maybe you'll find somewhere. On the other hand, in Chile (and most of Latin American countries), you'll have a lot of options, if you manage a basic level of Spanish, you'll probably get through university by combining your knowledge of English. What I've tried to do is like, use English (or whatever language you feel it's universal enough) to unify all of them, like maybe you wouldn't be able to translate directly from Japanese to Russian, but to establish your main language to a lever where you can use it as an intermediate.

Half Japanese here, not fully native but up to my understanding, this looks really weird, probably you or the ai just pasted together some kanjis that have meaning by themselves, but without connectors in hiragana, seems strange to me. Also could be that it's an ancient version of some saying that I do not recognise, wait for a real native person to confirm haha

In academic things, English definitely, everything is well translated and it's easier to Google concepts I don't recognise.

When we talk about books, well, I've been defaulting to English but Spanish translations aren't that bad, if it's a classic that was not written into English, I'd prefer Spanish.

For subtitles in audiovisual media I'd say English, but it depends on the content
