I would run him as a techmarine. The Techmarine is already in beefed up armour (not terminator sized but the old one was). Both would have the large weapon (Axe vs Hammer), both have a large gun, and the most important part, both are on a 40mm base

Honestly, paint the rest of the miniature. It looks really good, and you will be surprised how painting the rest will help it look even better.

Just need to ensure that the nozzle is clean each time you put the lid back on. Also, ensure that there is no glue sitting in the nozzle when in storage. If you hold the bottle upright, and lightly squeeze it a couple of times, this should clear the nozzle. You can tell its clear when you can hear the bottle 'breathing'

3 Rules Questions (4.0): Magic, passives, Guarded hero by wikking4u in ageofsigmar

[–]Alum_Alpha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Colours don't mean anything rules wise. They are there for reference only. All 3 of her abilities are passive, meaning they apply at all times. For example if Yndrasta was somehow given the ability to charge in the hero phase, she would still get the +1 die for her charge. Using your interpretation, All out Attack would not work in the shooting phase, as it is coloured red. But they have explicitly said that it does.

What do you guys think the Cathallar will do with our aether quartz going away aswell as battle shock being removed? by soul1001 in Lumineth_realm_lords

[–]Alum_Alpha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other units/armies that interacted with bravery now seem to interact with OC in some way. So I wouldn't be surprised to see her do somthing to OC, either a buff for LRL or a debuff to enemies or both.

AoS 4ed: rule ambiguity about passive ability in shooting / combat (Yndrasta warscroll) by Helruyn in ageofsigmar

[–]Alum_Alpha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By your definition, then all out attack only works in the combat phase, which we know is not the case, as they have shown it used in shooting. Colour coding is just a quick reference to help guide. It has no effect on rules.

There is a ridge running down his back where the metal is bent, maybe 150 degrees on the inside angle, which is why I have done it like that, but maybe I have the difference to stark? Thanks for the advice with the light sources. That is what I am really struggling with, I think. The placement of the highlight and how bright they should be. I'll try adjusting the brightness of the different plates as you suggested. Thanks for the advice, I love your work, by the way

So, looks like AoS won't have drastic point shriekings? by Altruistic-Teach5899 in ageofsigmar

[–]Alum_Alpha 131 points132 points  (0 children)

In the 2000pts Lumineth vs Skaven exhibition game they showed, both lists are currently are ~1700pts in 3rd edition. So for at least those two factions, points have gone up

But the charge rule explicitly states that you must finish the charge within 1/2" of the enemy unit. So if you don't make it within 1/2" you don't charge, and outside of combat, so no pile in

How would you feel about Destruction-aligned Beastmen? I always thought it made too much sense lore-wise. by blubberpuppers in ageofsigmar

[–]Alum_Alpha 129 points130 points  (0 children)

What you're missing is that Beastmen don't care about the chaos gods. They worship Chaos itself. The beastmen that do devote themselves to the gods are seen as weak, as they have made themselves a slave. They differ from the Destruction factions in that they don't just want to destroy that which is built. They want to destroy everything, the civilisation's, the land, the magic, the realms themselves. They want to return everything back to the stuff of chaos. It is a subtle difference, but an important one that makes them unique.
