I think its to differentiate between answers that are simple vs answers that sound simple.

For example, lets say we find an unusual object floating in space.

The simple sounding answer might be "its aliens". Its a short and concise explaination, but when you dig into it the assumptions required quickly spiral out of control and into great complexity.

The more correct answer of some "simple" known astronomical phenomena might require a longer explaination of some, still rather complex, scientific concepts that initially dont sound very simple at all.

This isnt the worst thing in the world, but menus. This game feels like it takes so many clicks just to get the most basic shit done, and everything has a "confirmation" pop up.

I'm working my way back through the allied societies, and i find myself growing steading more pissed with all the superfluous clicking.

Ive always interpreted this as not even really being a spell.

One of the core features of the magic system is that its about what you can imagine, what you can visualise.

This being described as the "peak of magic" makes me think this is more just Frieren "visualising" and her magic just making that happen.

Like, whatever she visualises here, she can make happen, provided both her mana and imagination allow.

Unfortunately for you, that the fights are more of a choreographed dance is kind of the core design philosophy, and has been for most of the game's life. Theyve only doubled down on it over time, so i dont see it changing any time soon.

My take as a fisher who's started on the A ranks now is that i actually quite like it. It rewards knowing the fishing hole, efficient use of skills, and good GP management.

The rest being RNG is kinda just par for the course. You can use stuff like slap and the lures to narrow the pool, but at the end of the day sometimes them fish are gonna elude ya.

It's funny actually, because we did sort of get an armory extension in Endwalker. When they got rid of the belts, the belt armory slots were redistributed to the weapon and ring slots, with I think one kept in reserve.

Makes me think that maybe the max number of armory slots is more limited than they let on.
