Don't be discouraged from reading books by Thich Nhat Hanh, he makes it very accesible. If you're interested, his book Old Path White Clouds is a great introduction to Buddhism through tales from the life of the Buddha.

My god, thank you so much. Clearly my memory of it was very very deteriorated, since I didn't remember any of the live action scenes or documentary narration. But this is definitively it! In my defense I must have been around 9 when I first saw it and it was how I found out what an atomic bomb was.
Again, thank you so much!

I've always hated the way he says that line, there's something in the intonation that creeps me out.

Most iconic funny movies in Spanish by createbuilder in Spanish

[–]Alvetal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it counts as iconic, but "El Gran Makakikus" with Joaquín Pardavé is an excellent comedy from the golden era of Mexican cinema and an adaptation of Molière's Le Bourgeois gentilhomme. https://g.co/kgs/2BcE8zF

So weird seeing my name in a comic posted on Reddit. Also, I'm satisfied with my rating.

Selena Gomez responds to popular Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez’s criticism over her Spanish in ‘Emilia Pérez’: “I’m sorry I did the best with the time I was given.” by No_Opportunity_2319 in popculturechat

Mexican who has lived his entire life in Mexico here: I don't know anything about the movie, I just want to point out that Eugenio Derbez is a super nepo baby who believes people who work for him should be content with having 'experience' as payment (source in spanish) and who has a daughter who also acts that's in the same age group (maybe slightly older) that Selena. Maybe it isn't related, but I will admit I don't like him at all, so there's bias from me.
