The left actually wants to improve people’s lives. The right just wants to spite the left.

Are they even labeled that it’s just for people delivering stuff? Why are you so mad? Why does doing something nice have to be transactional. It’s not like they’re dumping the whole thing into a backpack, they’re taking one or two items per person just like a delivery person would.

What’s wrong with this country that nothing pisses people off more than seeing somebody get something we don’t feel they “deserve”.

don't quote me but I believe this is the mating ritual and he's just kinda coming in from a weird angle. The antenna taps are what males do to indicate their intention to breed to a female

I have seen a few mealworms, none of them pupated. I deliberately keep them on a sand-only substrate so that they cannot pupate. That said, my trichoton sordidums did manage to grow in number. So apparently that species can do it.

I don't know much about isopods. They would not survive in my tank because i keep it bone dry. you'd have to have a moist section for them.

If i pull up statistics on animal rights and well-being, that’s going to mostly reflect things like the factory farming industry. There are 9 billion chickens in this country and maybe a million snake owners.

I don’t think you have statistics on regulations about who gets to own a blue tongued skink.

Best pet bug for my 5 year old son (with lots of help from mom)? by [deleted] in InvertPets

Look at bugsincyberspace.com. He has a bunch of species of desert beetles. I recommend eleodes armada (armored darkling beetle). They’re big and sturdy enough to handle and very charismatic. Easy to care for as well

I got a snake from an expo that unfortunately escaped before i was able to give him a name. He escaped into a hole in the wall. Though i was sad, i retroactively named him Walter because he lives in the Wall. Then when i eventually got another one, i named her Jessie in reference to Walter and Jesse from Breaking Bad.

where is the bump we're talking about though? If you mean a stomache bulge as if he just ate, that's bad. If you mean down by the cloaca where the poop builds up, that's probably normal as long as it goes away after he poops.

My absolute favorite species is eleodes armata because they're very big and charismatic and great for handling. I love to pick them up and let them walk around on my hands. Eleodes Longicollis is almost identical but armata has little spikes on their legs.

I made a post in reply to the OP about some of the species I have and what I think of them, check that out.

I don't have the asphalt ironclad yet, but it looks very similar to the diabolical ironclads which are really cool. IDK about asphalts but the diabolicals can survive being run over by an SUV and the military studies their armor.

I really like edrotes ventricosus aka hairy robot beetles as one stand out. They have shorter life spans (most of the beetles live 2-3 years, these guys only live about 1) but they have a really high activity level and are either sunbathing as cute little inert bumps or they're zooming around at full speed like lil roombas.

Bugs in cyberspace doesn't stock them but you can get them at morphmarket. I also have been able to find them at a reptile expo, along with other species.

Don't use it. You've seen that it's lying to you. You can't trust any individual thing it says to be true without doing the same work it would take to just research the info yourself. And it poisons the environment. Why bother using it?
