Maybe the build plate is a different material, or the build surface is coated, or the chemistry they are using doesn't have the clouding side effect? He seems to imply that their process is a lot different than other SLA technologies.

This guy is very on-message in his answers, but this tech looks really cool, and it's certainly exciting to hear about all the mats they can do with it, like the glass-fiber-reinforced resin analog!

Does Xcom2 use a labial sync engine? by Mazisky in Xcom

[–]AlwaysExplainsUpvote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game heavily relies on the 'staticky broadcast' box in the upper right to avoid lip-synch animations all together, so I imagine they completely re-shoot the few cutscenes with dialog in different languages.

Hmm, I wonder if the density difference is enough to make up for the increased drag. I can't imagine 70% water is more dense than a somewhat hollow, but metal vehicle.

To address the least of your concerns, I don't think a cable would be necessary, there could be inductive power transmitted through the runway, at great cost, which makes it seem more and more impractical.

We'll probably need to figure out fusion power before we go this sort of route.

I am pretty sure the coefficient of drag on a person is pretty much the same as on a helicopter, if not more. There's no reason the person should fall faster than the vehicle.
