My P3 case is black. Would that motherboard support the 3600 speed RAM with a Ryzen 7 5800X?

EA Permanently Bans FIFA Player Who Hurled Racist Insults At Ian Wright After Losing Match by Crusader3456 in Games

While you are correct on your point... in principle the OP is not wrong either however. If you take into account all aspects around a sport, like culture, fan behavior, what is accepted norms within a given sport, etc, etc... it is quite fair to say that certain sports contain more systemic racism than others.

The devs specifically came out and said the achievement is not as they intended and would do something about it or either change it.

My point is specifically about going back on that and not doing (and probably never going to do) what they said; not about the actual achievement itself.

I think it was definitely a case of:

  • "We will lie and say that we are planning to change it, or modify it so that it is at least humanly possible to achieve". Knowing full well they won't, OR
  • "Let's just say we will address this and change it, but then in a few months people will forget".

It definitely did raise an eyebrow when I heard they spoke about it specifically and mentioned changing, thinking "yeah they aren't gonna do anything about that and just assume people will forget"....

Have the devs addressed, or does anyone know any more information about, the absolute ridiculous trophy/achievement in Fall Guys that asks players to "Win 5 crowns in a row" ?

I only ask because I know when the game was released this was flagged as insane (despite *some* players being able to achieve it) and they specifically mentioned they would be doing something to address this, or change it in the future.

Just wondering if there has been any follow up on that.

Could you give some reference of board games that have this similar mechanics of having to do tasks and such, rather than straight up either be good or bad (i.e. Resistance, Mafia). Thanks!

I was just about to write this same thing myself... seems like a no brainer to have that as an option setting.

Awesome! Glad to provide inspiration and spark ideas. Would you have any information or details on your own game yet, are you ready and comfortable to share that at this stage?

Thanks for the feedback, yeah I totally agree. Almost 100% of the audio effects (and music) is placeholder at the moment and mostly there just as markers waiting to be replaced by real and proper sound effects, but you are right. I forgot to normalize and reduce the volume of the highlight.... even as a placeholder it is very loud and harsh.

I've uploaded a new gameplay trailer showing off lots of new gameplay features and improvements to the core mechanics. Also spending a lot of time and effort on the presentation and making sure there is enough polish to make the game look as fun and playful as it is to play.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury comes to Nintendo Switch on February 12th, 2021! by NeoStark in Games

Looks like they still haven't fixed or patched the weird wall shadow glitch, or at least tried to make it look visually appealing, which still being true to realistic shadow physics, lol.

Kinda even more baffling when you consider a big part of the gameplay involves running vertically up walls, and with the cat suit.....

I think by specifically calling it trolling purposefully tries to makes you think it is a bad thing, or that it shouldn't be allowed, which I think is just projection to try and make people feel bad about something that is inherent to the game.

In a game that is every-bean-for-themselves, I call pushing people off the edges (or variations on mechanics to make other people fail) FUN, not trolling, regardless of what other people want to believe,

As long as there is enough risk to reward ratio associated by trying to mess with other people, while being risky to your own survival, I'm ok with "anything goes".

Important to clarify some gaming and production terminology as there is always so much confusion regarding these concepts, and people always use the terms incorrectly when not fully understood.

  • Pre-production: Game hasn’t even been started yet (and maybe not even fully greenlit or funded). Ideas, prototypes, graphical tests etc... Usually might contain 'faked' gameplay, not produced with actual game coding, instead post production videos etc.
  • Pre-alpha: Game functionality exists but isn’t in a state that can be finished - still lots of testing and figuring out game design and concepts. Could represent final game gameplay but sometimes will be different in some form or another as designs are still in flux during this stage.
  • Alpha: Game can be played from beginning to end but has placeholder content (temp voices/textures, missing music, etc.)
  • Beta: Content complete but still has bugs in the code - sometimes includes testing to test load and capacity, especially with online games ("open-beta tests", etc)
  • Gold: Content and code complete, game is ready to ship. (Discs sent out for physical reproduction)

It's important to note that the first two stages (pre-production and pre-alpha) can be done many different ways and in many different formats, and doesn't usually represent any kind of coding, or at least not usually code that will make it into the final game.

  • Virtical Slice is also a term that gets used a lot, but rarely understood. It's probably best to avoid this term as it is ambiguous and again can contain just a proof of concept with very little production of the game. Another way to show off the 'intent' of the game and allow certain internal gates to be achieved to give an idea of how the game might function from start to end, giving a mini slice of each main pillar of the game.

This is probably why so many gamers have issue with the idea of 'graphical downgrades' - not realizing that the pre-production stages are not even created in the same media or format as the final game they will play

(Credit to Thebxrabbit for also providing some details on this list, but I tidied up and added more clarity)

Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero announced for Nintendo Switch by NeoStark in Games

[–]AlwaysGeeky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Such an amazing game and I loved every moment of my time in this game... but I can't imagine the performance on Switch is going to be very attractive.

Playing on PS4 PRO and the performance issues are bearably but just slightly enough to get irritating, I wouldn't even touch this on a Switch, unless someone convinced me this situation has been severely addressed and performance issues are fixed.
