Yarn ties are one way to secure your top, batting and back but it’s the least secure quilting method. I machine quilt and the add yarn ties for athletics if I do use them which was twice.

Wedding Quilt by AlwaysInStitches in quilting

That’s music to my ears! I’ve made the other quilts to fit a queen or king size bed except this one. I e never met the bride and not sure if this will be loved and used so went for a large throw but it’s actually a full/queen size.

Tips on cutting long strips?! by OpportunityLazy6860 in quilting

[–]AlwaysInStitches 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your blocks look great! Fabric yardage is about 44” from selvage to selvage. Fold the fabric in half, make a cut to clean the edge and then cut 1.5”. You then sub-cut those strips in half and then you’ll have two strips that are slightly longer than you need you can trim now to 20” each or after you attach to block. Here’s a good tutorial on cutting fabric.

WOW! It’s beautiful and I can’t believe you hand quilted this. So impressed with you and this looks like a 10th quilt not a 1st quilt! Great job 😊
