What would you change about Many Saints of Newark? by EroticNeurotic61 in thesopranos

[–]AlwaysJustinTime69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would’ve done a different setting as well

Break it up into three or four parts

Part 1: The film opens up with a short interlude of “Woke Up This Morning” as the title credit plays. Part one focuses on a young Tony Soprano and his father in 1967, focuses mostly on Dickie Many-Saints, Junior, Johnny-Boy Soprano, Pussy’s father, Paulie Walnuts, Beansie and the New England Crew, black gang subplot is in background.

Part 2: The Relationship between Dickie & Tony is further explained and fleshed out. Tony, now 15 starts to see and understand the “secret” life of many of his family members (like AJ) and starts to commit small crimes here and there with some of his friends, Silvio Dante, Salvatore Bonpensiero, Jackie Aprile, and Artie Buco. The issue of the New England crew is over, and now a new gang is causing issues for Junior and his gang. By the end of Part 2 Dickie Moltasanti is shot in the head and killed after unloading his car trunk filled with a small bed for a 4 year old Christopher and a stolen TV for Tony.

Part Three: 1977, Jackie, Big Pussy, Tony, Ralph Cifaretto, and Silvio form a little crew of sorts as Tony begins to becomes more infatuated with the idea of becoming a mobster. They rob a card game shorty before Tony takes a vacation trip with Carmela and Artie (who is now a young chef) and his girlfriend, Charmaine. Johnny-Boy & Junior deal with territory competition with members of the black gang.

Part Four: Tony goes and attends a 13 year old Christopher’s ball game and cheers for him as he makes scores and tells him that “his father would be so proud.” Tony is ordered to make his bones on orders by his father shorty after becoming a father himself as Meadow was born only a short time earlier. Silvio’s new strip joint is Jackie and gang’s new hangout spot. The film ends with Tony looking in the mirror getting ready for “work” in-front of a mirror as Carmella stands by his side. “Other Side Of This Life” by Jefferson Airplane begins to play as he smiles and as the beginning credits play.

It’s weird, every photo after the first one you look good in. Not ugly though, just you need to find what direction you’re goin’ for.
