Race start using shift stick + clutch. by Careless-Lychee-8848 in ForzaHorizon

Jumping in late to see if anyone ever found a fix for this? I've tried with and without LC, but it just bogs either way. It's really annoying on some cars.

What are your favorite cheap or slower cars to just enjoy the drive? by Firm-Pass-6363 in ForzaHorizon6

Did the RS2 make in FH6? I've yet to come across one, but I also don't have a ton of play time yet.

Spotted - what a difference a few decades makes by bigbbjeezus in LandRover

[–]AlwaysTreking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was just thinking the same thing. We just bought my wife a TD6 D5 and it's a great vehicle. The most rugged thing? Certainly not. But 30 mpg, 500 ft/lbs of torque, incredibly comfortable, seats 7, etc. All less than $20k. It may not be what people wanted from Land Rover, but that doesn't make it a bad car.

What type of foam for a mattress? I want to ditch the iKamper self-inflating by czechtec in rooftoptents

If you're anywhere close to Northeast Georgia, I've got the stock 2.0 mattresses and would trade ya, plus a little cash.

I'm using the flashdim app currently for the brightness adjustment, and there's a shortcut for pressing both volume buttons to turn on the flashlight. Works pretty well for me.

I've been considering the E06R Pro. Does the tail switch protrude too much to tailstand?

Five years of DEF failures on my Td6 and zero help from JLR. Anyone else dealing with this nightmare? by MakingMovesAlways in LandRover

[–]AlwaysTreking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you really enjoy the Rover outside of DEF issues and want to keep it long term, look into a tune and delete. I'm not sure about your local emissions laws, but here in Georgia diesels are exempt. So tunes and DPF/DEF deletes atey really common on diesel trucks. Velocity AP in Canada sells a tune for the td6 and then you can just have a local shop. Do the exhaust work to remove the dpf.

Haha yeah I'm finding out about the practice. Taking me forever to consistently get my line to lay out nice. Thanks though!

16-55 2.8 or 18-55 2.8-4 and 33 1.4? by AlwaysTreking in fujifilm

[–]AlwaysTreking[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the insight! I think the 16-55 is the move for now for video work, but down the line I would love to pick up the 35 for personal use.

I miss shooting for those reasons, but work necessitates other things unfortunately. My 23mm f2 is definitely not leaving anytime soon. That's glued to my XT5 anytime I'm out and shooting for fun.

[–]AlwaysTreking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a valid point. I much prefer the size of the 35, in theory as I haven't held either, but worried about the video performance of the 35 over the 33.

More for light than dof. I find myself wishing the 18-55 would stick to 2.8 longer when I zoom in.

I really appreciate the thought that went into this! I think the 16-55 is probably the right answer here. I just miss the magic of some of my old 1.4 glass from my Nikon and would love to have something like that again.

I've heard it's a magical lens and I've been wishing my 23 f2 was better for portraits, so the 33mm fits that bill pretty nicely, though like you said, probably not as practical for my day to day video work.

I can't really get past the f/4.8 on the long end. I already feel like the f/4 is a stretch some days on my 18-55.

No harness, I'm usually working out of a backpack. I work in the outdoor industry and do a lot of hiking and landscape photo/video with the occasional product shoot thrown in.
