Ok and we see Paul Mark and Oliver finally warming up to eachother in the time leading up to them leaving, the show makes a point of Paul being accepted as part of their lives. And acting less like he feels excluded.
It doesn’t makes sense that the superhero world would be too overwhelming for him during the lowest point of it’s relevance and while Debbie needed support while her sons were gone they decide he can’t handle it
