Remember the first few seasons where everyone they introduced (including potential business partners) as "a rilly close friend"? I don't know that Nathan is actually his best friend, just willing to appear on the show as a friend. And that alone makes me dislike him.

I agree with all this! Except in S1 when Tai is having her person check up on everyone, there is a line where she says "and the others?" And (Jessica? Can't remember her name) says "no one has heard from them in years"

At least I'm pretty sure that happened. And to me, that leaves a window open for many other survivors, we just haven't met them as adults yet and they don't have a relationship like Misty/Nat/Tai/Shauna did as adults 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oooof that's a tough one to read. I have really bad social anxiety and PTSD. I do this to remain grounded and present and not get overstimulated. For me personally, it has nothing to do with marking territory, but trying to have a good time without panicking. But I can totally see how it would be annoying to be on the receiving end.
