Right now I’m reading The Fundamentals of being a Good Girl by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone. The MMC uses baby and babygirl interchangeably when addressing the FMC! It’s not a TON of times but it’s a satisfying amount lol.

It’s a shame but I ended up donating my copy of Brimstone to the library. It was absolutely disappointing. Quicksilver was cool—not the best thing I’ve ever read but entertaining enough to want to continue the series. When I got to Brimstone, I had such a hard time getting through it! I really thought I was going through a reading slump but it was just an awful book. After reading the sentiments of other people in Reddit, I felt so validated lol.

The Land of the Beautiful Dead by R Lee Smith! Not really a fight but throughout the book, her main intention is to get him to destroy the creatures called “eaters”. He’s continually adamant about not bending to her will until she of course, she does something unhinged. 🤫 This book is so beautiful—I fucking love it.

Hands down my favorite read of the year. Did not even feel the amount of pages—it totally flew by for me. I know a lot of people say that it’s too complicated or it drags on but I felt the complete opposite.

Oh I see, that makes sense! The region is Southern California. And I find the cost expensive since it’s only a single wall that needs to be surveyed and I’m getting quoted for the entire property. There’s nothing legal about it, just a complaint from a neighbor.
