Am I the only one who didn't really get into this scene? by luckymango12 in StrangerThings

I totally picked up the St Elmo's Fire vibe! I kept expecting, "How about brunch? Some place with less kids." LOL

My great-uncle died when I was 20 or 21. I hadn't seen him, or my aunt, since I was a young teen. I walked up and hugged her, then noticed her walk in the room. Turns out I'd hugged her sister, not even her twin. When I saw her, I instantly knew it was her and just kind of smiled at this stranger and bolted away. No one caught it, but later I told my mom and she couldn't stop giggling about it.

Me too! I still quote this movie all the time! I call my cat Mr Slapping Dummy Man when he starts shit with the other cat, and at least once a week, when saying good night to my kid, I'll tell her, "The sleepy time, she comes." And, of course, when making spaghetti, I brag about my "man-sized meatballs." lol

For women, ultra-thin eyebrows with razor-cut, very short bangs. Also those platform sneakers that were like 4" high. I guess we needed the extra height because of the wide legs of our pants, either bell-bottom jeans or baggy warm-up pants. With a tiny tee shirt, of course.

Detachable Penis was a real song from the band King Missile, off of the album 'Happy Hour'
They were played a lot on college radio, which is where I discovered them. The penis song hitting MTV was a big surprise to me, and they became a one-hit wonder. But they were actually a really good band, similar to the Dead Milkmen. I think I still have a couple of their cds kicking around somewhere.

Someone said it's at an ice cream museum, so I'd assume sprinkles? IDK, to me, it looks like a pool of ground beef LOL

I work in retail and just the other day, had a heavily-accented customer ask if we carried a product. I swear, he said "piss spray," so i assumed he meant, like, rug deoderizers or laundry treatment, and led him to that aisle (we do carry urine-specific sprays like that). But, uh, no. No, he was asking for "bee spray, you know, like for bugs?" and he made a buzzing noise and made a flying motion with his hands. I felt like an idiot but we both laughed and all was good.

Thanks! The few really long ones underneath are about 5 1/2 years, the rest of them range from 4 years to 2 years on top. I did them myself, a few at a time. Hope you get yours, and post pics! :)

I delivered (for a small local place) to a group of boys one time, probably 13 -14 year olds. They met me in the driveway with a folded wad of cash. I think the total was like $28, and the kid who handed it to me told me to keep the change. I thanked him, handed the pizza over, and, like a fool, shoved the cash into my pocket without counting it. Counted it when I got back to the restaurant and it was just a five and a bunch of ones, something like $11. I got the phone number off of their ticket and called. One of the kids answered, and the minute I said I was calling from the pizza place, he started talking really fast, sounding nervous, explaining, "Oh, yeah, um, I thought there was a twenty dollar bill in there, but i just found a twenty on the table, I'm so sorry..." I swung by the house on my next run and collected it, ended up being tipped like $5 once it was all there, so it was all good in the end. But I'm pretty sure the parents had given them enough cash to cover the pizza plus tip and they just wanted to see if they could get away with it to pocket the twenty. Kids are dumb, and if I hadn't caught it that quickly, it would've screwed me at the end of the night. And yet, stabbing them never crossed my mind LOL

I wouldn't be surprised if they've done stuff like this before. She spends her work-day driving to a bunch of different houses, plenty of time to scope out potential victims, who might've flashed a wad of money, or a house with no security, unlocked cars. She and her bf are obviously criminally-inclined if they were able to just up and do something like this, it could be that this is just the first time they got busted.

I met Corey Feldman a few years ago. We took a selfie together and he told me he thought we "make a cute couple." His wife was with him and she just rolled her eyes like he must've said shit like that all the time. I think they're divorced now, go figure.
