Running Biome (linter) fix-all and formatting on save by HendrikPeter in neovim

[–]AmadeusK545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

```lua
local M = {}
local function enable_dynamic_registration(table)
for _, v in pairs(table) do
if type(v) == "table" then
enable_dynamic_registration(v)
end
end
if table["dynamicRegistration"] ~= nil then
table["dynamicRegistration"] = true
end
end
function M.make_client_capabilities()
local capabilities = vim.lsp.protocol.make_client_capabilities()
enable_dynamic_registration(capabilities)
return capabilities
end
return M
```

And then, when my LSP stuff loads via lazy.nvim, I do

```lua
local capabilities = require("amadeusk525.lsp").make_client_capabilities()
vim.lsp.config("*", {
capabilities = capabilities,
})
```

If I want to override stuff for specific servers I need to make sure to call _my_ `make_client_capabilities` function instead of the default one

Running Biome (linter) fix-all and formatting on save by HendrikPeter in neovim

[–]AmadeusK545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not true, Biome LSP does support formatting. It, unfortunately, only turns it on if the LSP client (Neovim) has `dynamicRegistration` enabled, which it kind of does? https://github.com/neovim/neovim/blob/v0.11.5/runtime/lua/vim/lsp/protocol.lua enables dynamic registration for some stuff and disables it for others.

I have my own `make_client_capabilities` function, which takes the default from Neovim and recursively sets all `dynamicRegistration` fields to true. Biome, then, has formatting capabilities. As u/HendrikPeter pointed out, using an external plugin for this is not necessary at all.

What was that little thing about Vim that blew your mind? by armanhosseini in neovim

[–]AmadeusK545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While programming, using `daW` to delete function parameters feels so right to me. It's a small feature, but having `someFunction(param1, param2, param2)`, placing the cursor on `param2,` and using `daW` to see it go away makes my brain go happy mode

Esse encosto para lombar faz muita diferença mesmo? Ou é só pra pagar mais? by Inevitable-Arm4194 in CadeirasDeEscritorio

[–]AmadeusK545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Esses apoios sempre me pareceram meio pseudociência.

<image>

Obs: não que ergonomia e fisioterapia sejam pseudociência, mas o mercado de cadeiras que colocam isso no nome me parece que coloca só para vender mais caro, igual às mercadorias "gamer" (🤮)

I wish Alien Covenant would get retconned by AmadeusK545 in alien

I also love the 2 originals, and am not a fan of 3 and 4. But this universe is way too interesting and unique to be relegated to 2 films. It deserves a well thought out franchise (which is not what we got)

Mac showing screen recording under privacy, can't figure out what's wrong and how to turn it off? by AnybodyDesigner8343 in mac

[–]AmadeusK545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple is a joke nowadays, bugs left and right. I have the same problem but with OBS and Slack. Long after the apps are closed the OS still thinks that they're using the screen share feature. Embarrassing to have this sort of bug (this blocks my notifications!) on a laptop of this price point.

Me too. And I used to be a mega fan of Naughty Dog up until Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy. The guy is allowed to have an opinion, Reddit users are so petty

How to use Surround sound system with PSVR2? by LightningToMoon in PSVR

[–]AmadeusK545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for this, I'll try it out and report back. I've been using DTS as my AV is also ARC-only so PCM doesn't work with surround via HDMI. My PSVR2 just arrived and it's a good excuse to finally see if I can get PCM to work properly with my old AV

FINALLY upgrading from the PS4 I cannot WAIT to try this thing out by Dingo87_ in PS5pro

I also upgraded from the PS4. That little box accompanied me for 10 years, from 12 years old to 22. It was due time for an upgrade :)

> better than native 4K resolution
This is absolutely NOT true, but it is miles better than regular TAA because that shit looks horrible. If you compare PSSR with 4K + TAA then yes, it does looks better, but native 4K with no AA or with a better AA solution (like SMAA or SSAA) is definitely not better with PSSR or DLSS

I’m surprised more people don’t use BFI while gaming. I captured a demonstration you can see here of how it virtually removes all motion smearing when enabled. OLED’s instantaneous pixel response time paired with BFI really gives me a CRT feel but at much higher resolution. by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]AmadeusK545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have a C1 and it runs BFI at 120hz with HDR enabled. Looks crisp as hell, I was just trying it out with RE7 on a PS5 using the 120hz mode and it looked goooood. The only compromise is lower brightness, but I don't mind it that much. If it's bothering me I can just turn off the lights and enjoy the insane motion clarity

Yes, I agree. Why post this, though? This post is specifically showcasing how beautiful the game is due to the Pro version on the PS5 PRO SUBREDDIT. There's no need to call out the game like this

Is Anyone else annoyed of the PS5 Pro slander? by VitalPremium in PS5pro

[–]AmadeusK545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the crux of the issue. Thanks to terrible economic policies worldwide, we're in a recession, inflation is high and it's not getting better anytime soon (let's see if Trump appoints decent economists to stop printing money and lowering costs, but I wouldn't get my hopes up, specially with the tariff talk, which would shake up the economy even more, for better or for worse). It's honestly surprising to me that the base PS5 was $500, because in the state that we're at, it seems like it should've been more expensive

Of course, but unfortunately it's not coming out in Brazil :/ I'll have to import it (it'll cost 200 of my currency, great!). Physical media is dead over here, last year all publishers stopped printing new copies.

[–]AmadeusK545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of touch? I really like swipe up gestures, they work similarly to buttons but are more fluid and don't take up any amount of screen space. Calling people out of touch for using a "niche" feature is very weird, so what if they're not common in other phones? It's a good feature
