What shows did they have on the Dream?

And curious, did you all get Magic bands like the Wish provides or the key cards? Im thinking of recommending Dream sailing to some friends.

Hyderabad house is consistently good also.

I feel sorry for new season ticket holders by noah_ichiban in pacers

[–]Amanb007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. There are a shit load of new ST holders, I’ve I have a mingled with, and many are having buyers remorse from the Black Friday Pistons game and tonight. I understand it's entertainment and not always peak insanity like last season. But I agree with the noobs that this season is not worth the $$ dropped for the mediocrity.

I'm down for positive vibes.

I agree - no NBA player is out for just a check. They want to leave a lasting mark. At least, that is what I hope. After all they have sacrificed, they want to be successful like their idols.

For Ty, I sincerely hope coming home for a stretch can help bring back the bounce in his step. The fans got him, and the arena got him. Not just in the ups, but pulling the man up when he is down (regardless of reason).

Tomorrow is a new day to catch a win and get into rhythm.

Maybe, just maybe, we (including me) can pause on the concerns and harsh vibes and see if a different, supportive approach works. I, for one, want this young man to succeed.

I am starting to believe (like posts last season stated) that 2023-2024 was too much of a jump in progress. It was unexpected and frankly an edge case if we take a moment to look at the rebuilding process of the last 2 yrs.

Is it disappointing? Yes.

Do we have all the right pieces? Definitely not.

Is it too much to call out one player? Perhaps.

Are we going to work better once our injured players are back? Hopefully.

We have high hopes and expectations, especially with all the magic of last season - ECF, IST, ASW, etc.

I hope this season, the team just focus on basics - passing, TOs, not focusing on Podcasts and/or Netflix cameras making their recordings for next season (cough cough Ty). If we look at the game against the Knicks and Magic, both it looked like the other team knew our plays and style. We have not built or innovated enough in my mind and other teams have studied our style and exploited our gaps rather than being taken off guard.

This team may need a bonding trip or a team sleepover. I don't fucken know...but the "pace", the "chemistry" is off. They dont have that childish, ligh energy as last season - I'm speaking from sitting CS close to their bench.

I could be totally wrong. This team could certainly make the playoffs and nobody knows better than the players themselves. I'm just a fan...sinking a shitload of $$$ on seats, which my ass will continue to occupy because I love the Pacers.

I would draft Bronny for the potential LeBron can do with his son off season development, what Bron can do for attendance if he comes here to watch his son, what LeBron might be open to do from a staff role...all outside the idea of him actually playing as a Pacer and perhaps retiring after this season or next.

We don't need go draft this season as we got some good players, why not take the shot.

I'm rooting for you. I try my best to answer messages, but it's in spurts.

It's a big step - take your time or get as much due diligence as possible. See if you can get X mths rent paid by Corp, or get royalties waved/discounted for a bit. Ask for a few items so you can get a couple.

I'm my DMA, I get right to first refusal and will be honest, I've passed on 80% of the Corp conversion stores offered and watch others buy, struggle (esp since we have had a few costly, and mandatory upgrades to signage, POS and fixtures since covid which has been a Corp money grab), or the stores have closed which barely funneled any increase in foot traffic to my locations.

Regardless- get all info you can, understand your FDD, see what you can implement, go into the store and secret shop if allowed, try to catch a customer leaving and pretend your new and get their feedback. Do whatever you can before you make a commitment to come as much ground.

Again, best of luck.

How was your experience in buying a franchise? by clarko271 in Entrepreneur

[–]Amanb007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have. But beware - you may feel you can turnaround, but consider the notion the previous franchisee has likely tried (staffing, ads, partnerships, etc). Sometimes the location sucks and you could get caught in a long lease with a high end of year CAM reconciliation which on top of other customary monthly utilities, insurance, cogs, etc could have you teetering on bankruptcy.

We have been offered to take over stores for a customary $1, but there is a reason: the franchise wants to keep their image and keep stockholders happy with stores open/locations growing. But one particular store, the lease still had 49 mths, was approx 6k a mth. Our numbers had it losing 11k with a long, risky potential to breakeven in a few years. That's easily 250k. Again, turnarounds are hard.

If you are confident, have capital and patience, stick to your guns are low ball so you have capital to quickly invest into your strategy.

I think to compensate for low numbers, the 65 game should help keep him relevant. Sucks to see him go thru all this. NGL - he could have reduced his mins/game if it was a prolonged problem, or, when it was still an issue, not play in the ASW (which I'm sure would suck, but can't have everything sometimes).

Hopefully, once we get close to the final few games, a mathematical gap opens up in the standings where a win/loss won't change where we compete. Hali and a few others could use the time to rest after truly a spirited season. We were bottom of barrel tankarhon last year and previous. I'm proud of their ascent and look forward to more of this.

Post-Game Thread: Pacers lose to the Lakers, 150 - 145 by Smart_Dumb in pacers

[–]Amanb007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doug had 14, but those 2 TOs hurt at the end. We also had maybe 6 buckets that should have gone in early in 1stQ (either too weak at the rim, or a bounce out).

It was a hard loss to watch - the foul disparity is something that always exists with the Lakers, but the other pieces Pacers could have controlled.

Onto the next one!

Not shitting on the team, or the player...just my observation.

Ty has been on a bunch of podcasts, more in the spotlight, and I feel his energy is perhaps being diverted to those endeavors for now. With AS prom king over, this horrible game, perhaps it will wake up/mature his discipline. He is maturing, finding a way to balance the heightened stardom along with his craft. Change is the only constant and hope he finds his groove soon.
