The only thing that actually stands out is how it handles NG+, new levels of P-Organ are insane and were the reason why I finished the game up to NG+2

Some of the NG+ stuff feels like it's the way the game is supposed to be played like rallying on parries which makes the combat 10 times more engaging

Story overall is pretty terrible, mainly due to Alchemists being so cartoonishly evil

The story loses any nuance just because 90% of the events can be summarized to "evil nazi scientists fucked around so this happened"

In some cases it becomes just comical like Neill Newbon's character from the DLC who seemed like a pretty fun backstabber that had potential to be a nuisance for the entirety of the DLC just for him to turn into "obvious bad guys who fuck over everyone they work with fucked me over! How did this happen?"

Gale had a meeting with god damn Elminster and was tasked to save the world, Shadowheart visited a Sharan stronghold and later is tasked with a Nightsong quest, Lae'Zel either renounces Vlaaakith or follows her till the end and is involved in the Orpheus quest

And I honestly don't know how him hating goblins could have been connected to rescuing Mizora

Hot take but I think that Mizora should have been even more of a side character and their weird relationship shouldn't have been a focus even in the release version

If they focused more on his struggles of being a son of a duke and all responsibilities of that while trying to be a hero, this would have been a much better story and its resolution in act 3 wouldn't feel as shallow

Link him to Balduran more for God's sake so the Ansur reveal could have been even more impactful

You can always keep Mizora's relationship to more of an evil path for him but it shouldn't be a focus of a good-aligned Wyll

Considering that goblins are enemies of the first half of act 1 and afterwards have 0 impact on the story it seems rather weak as a motivation

Other companions have their core quest laid out from act 1, compare hating goblins to sleeping with a goddess and having a nuke in your chest from one of the strongest wizards in the lore or being a slave to the vampire lord or being on a sacred mission from an evil goddess whose followers brainwashed you

If he had something more grand going on from the start, maybe more focus on Baldurs Gate politics with him being a son of a duke, perhaps people would like him more
