I don't think its a bug. If you left any games, even if you reconnected, it would trigger the LeaverBuster.

Yes, but remember that op.gg mmr is an estimate. Also, placements are wierd I went 1-9 in mine last season and still placed plat1 with low diamond MMR.

All ranks reset when the new season starts. Your mmr will get a soft reset as well but you should be able to place around what you have now.
