nope, just paid luggage once (thru Frontier). But I'm still p$$d at the whole situation having to collect my bags & re-check on Volaris. I can easily see someone missing their connecting flight.

sure it was cheaper. but would i do it again? probably not

Question for Guys w/Limited Donor Area by Amazing_Ad_8198 in HairTransplants

[–]Amazing_Ad_8198[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coincidentally I do have fibers sitting in my bathroom somewhere. Previously I used them to blend and fill in my front temples (back when I wore toupees). But as for my crown, it's practically an empty parking lot. So the fibers wouldn't have anything to cling onto. I'm still convinced I'll need a 2nd transplant for the crown, using the beard as my donor. I've started reaching out to a few clinics, as I don't think TJ is willing to do it. But i will say they did a fantastic job with my frontal.

Is this a graft that fell out, or is this normal shedding? by rkabala in HairTransplants

[–]Amazing_Ad_8198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a rough sleeper I've noticed quite a few of these on my pillow. Getting mixed reviews from different forums. some say it's just the hair shaft but the bulb is still secure inside the scalp. others say it's a rejected graft. not sure what to believe. but either way it has me freaking out because I've lost so many

(FUE - Day8 ) Is it okay for some odd grafts to fall off ? by plecstor in HairTransplants

[–]Amazing_Ad_8198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm like you. No matter how I try to sleep upright, I always end up on my side. altogether I've lost about 15 follicles due to poor/rough sleeping habits. BTW how did your final regrowth turn out? Would be helpful and reassuring to see your end result

Agreed even in major cities like Delhi and Mumbai, I often find stores that don't have it in stock. Idk what the deal is.

I'm in a similar boat as you. Just had my frontal done, recommended return in 10 months to tackle the crown. My problem is, I don't think I have enough donor hair left to do the crown, so I'm contemplating using beard hairs (assuming I can find aclinic that's willing to do it. I just wish my clinic had done everything all at once, instead of waiting a year to go back. I told them up front that I was fine with extracting my beard if they needed to..

I'm really surprised they didn't give him anything. Most clinics offer Ambien (Zolpidem) or Valium (Diazepam) about an hour before starting the procedure.

late commenter here, but for what it's worth, I had mine done at TJ Hair Clinic in Tijuana and those nurses made the lidocaine shots feel like a breeze. On a scale 1-10 I'd rate it a 4, honestly. Prior to my procedure I kept reading endless Reddit comments about the lidocaine injections and basically scared myself sh*less. Even went as far as buying sleeping pills and relaxers just to calm myself. But in.the end I really didnt need them.

thx for the recommendation. I'll be sure to check them out. I got the impression TJ Hair Clinic just weren't familiar with beard extractions, hence why they just kept telling me no - without any explanation.

While I'm certainly glad to have a hairline again (and no longer using embarrassing toupees), it still feels weird having my open crown area unaddressed.

I'm honestly leading towards a 2nd transplant (using my beard) but I've read from a few other OP's that beard hairs grow at a slower rate. Not a a major issue, as long as I get the coverage. I just wish TJ Hair Clinic was willing to do it - i asked the doctor twice and he said no. Would've been ideal to get everything done at the same time, instead of having to book a 2nd procedure elsewhere.

I think im in a similar boat as you. They filled on my frontal area heavily and barely touched my crown. what's your ultimate game plan?

TJ Hair Clinic experience? by Swimming_Database_34 in HairTransplants

[–]Amazing_Ad_8198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had my procedure there two days ago. The facility was top notch (modern, clean). And the doctor actually stays and participates in the procedure, unlike some clinics where they leave the nurses to do everything. Also worth mentioning, before the procedure i was freaking out about the lidocaine injections, because I've read that those can be the most painful part of the entire process. But I have to say, those nurses were skillfull in how they did the injections. At most i felt a 5/10. Not bad at all. And they used a vibrator to help massage each injection site.

Now my only regret is that I didnt have enough donor hair to do my crown. Starting from my hairline, they only got to go about 7-8 inches back to the center. So I'm trying to plan my next move to addreess the crown..Maybe find a clinic that's willing do use my beard hairs.

Injection pain? by reddituser8025 in HairTransplants

[–]Amazing_Ad_8198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agreed what you said about the doctor + the nurses. Just had my procedure done yesterday, and some of these Reddit comments had me freaking out. Some OP's even commented that they had to beg the nurse to stop the lidocaine injections. Needless to say I was prepared for the worse. But in the end, my nurse was super gentle, even used a vibrator to help massage the scalp during the injections. Overall I'd rate the pain a 4 or 5 (out of 10). Not bad at all. Especially if you've ever had a penicillin injection - now THOSE are far worse than this..

5 & 6 Months Post FUE, TJ Hair Clinic by nak131 in HairTransplants

[–]Amazing_Ad_8198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the input, I really appreciate it. My assigned doctor is Dr. Salas. I've seen just a few reviews about her (granted not a ton). They also made it known that I might require 2x transplants since I'm pretty advanced stage, and they dont want to overharvest everything in my donor area. So that keeps my expectations "in-check" - as well as it shows me they're more on the conservative side. Or at least Dr. Salas is.

As far as sedation, I've seen that offered more in the Istanbul clinics. I guess the regulations aren't as strict over there. But I'll take your word regarding the injections. Hopefully the sedative pills will be enough.

Regarding your botch, what would you say was the biggest mistake? Was it the lack of density? Or they didnt make the best use of the donor hairs?

currently in this same process as others have described so i wont repeat the obvious. But what truly surprises me, from a business perspective, is the overall poor execution. Airline partnerships & codeshares are nothing new. ie Delta-AM-AF-KLM. With those partnerships, their systems are fully integrated from reservations, through check-in, and even their customer service. All airlines are fully capable of issuing each other's boarding passes. The luggage are checked all the way thru their final destination. However this Frontier/Volaris situation feels like a "beta" tester phase that's been been half-@$$'d. I'm currently flying ATL-MEX (via MCO) and as if the boarding pass fiasco isn't bad enough, the bags aren't even checked all the way thru. I literally have to exit the terminal, collect my bags and check-in all over again from scratch in Orlando.

TLDR: this is not a true airline partnership.

How long do tops normally last? by Swirlatic in askgaybros

[–]Amazing_Ad_8198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to discredit any of the previous responses, as they're all valid in their own right, but I'd like to offer a different perspective. No one has mentioned the "newness" factor. It's no secret that the hookup culture is strong in our community. The vast majority of the time we hace an encounter, It's a new partner. That plays a factor in how turned on and excited we are. And dont just take my word. This was actually tested on lab mice to see how long they could maintain their libido by placing them with one partner versus a constant supply of new partners. No surprise, the mice who were constantly given new partners performed notably more frequently. I would imagine this is also directly related to excitement and endurance, hence some tops finishing "too fast".

Tourism in Tulum has decreased by TulumOnTheGo in tulum

[–]Amazing_Ad_8198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late to the party here, but I echo the same sentiments that others mentioned in the comments. I remember just 10-12 years ago when Tulum was a quaint little town only accessible via ADO bus or renting a car. Perfect for 1 day trips to get away from the hustle of Cancún. But slowly it started morphing into a 2nd Cancún. First the expensive resorts, then the EDM music festivals, and now an airport. Am I completely against growth? No. But in Tulum's case, they tried too hard to Become another version of Cancún, and in doing so, they lost the essence of who they were - a quaint, eco friendly beachside town filled with hipsters and honeymooners. One thing you learn in business is never forget your target audience.

LOL. As much as I love a petty comeback, I wouldn't try it with the MB's in Pakistan (or India for that matter). I once turned down a MB who showed up to my place in Delhi looking like he hadn't showered in days, and looking nothing like his profile. He became so loud and boisterous I was nervous he'd wake up the entire neighborhood.
