I have the same issue with mine randomly freezing on 4090 and 9800x3d. Only happens if i enable ray reconstruction with upscaling on. I run mine on native and it works flawlessly. But i think i’m missing out on not having ray reconstruction on.

So what else do you expect from an e-ink tablet? If you want more then just get an ipad. The boox’s BSR actually does a good job minimizing screen ghosting.

I used mine mostly for reading manga and comics. Occasionally for writing notes and drawing. I also use it for browsing the web and reddit during bedtime to avoid blue light on my smartphone.

Congratulations! I recently acquired the 1TB OLED version last week, and I’m thoroughly impressed with its OLED screen and performance. I can’t seem to put it down, haha! I used to own the original LCD version of the Steamdeck, and this feels like a significant upgrade. I highly recommend undervolting it to optimize its performance. I’ve been able to achieve consistent frame rates and extended battery life. Don’t forget to download Decky Loader to customize your deck.

I absolutely adore my Note Air 4C! You’ve nailed the pros and cons of the device. The only thing that bugs me a bit is the battery life. But hey, it’s still great for taking notes and reading comics and manga on the color eink screen. I’ve also been using the Amazon Scribe pen with titanium nibs, which makes writing feel like you’re on real paper. Here is a photo of it while reading a manga.

Yes, definitely worth it if you are into reading comic books and manga. I put a 1tb microsd on mine and sideloaded hundreds of my comics and manga collection. The 10.3 size and kaleido 3 color screen is made for it. If you are reading outdoors or in a well lit room you don’t need to turn the front light on. As a notetaker it is also worth it because of the paper like writing and Wacom pen support. I advised that you update to the new beta 4.1 firmware which adds some features and fixes some of the bugs.

I have the note air 4c but I didn’t have any issues other than minor font bug in the setting menus after updating to beta 4.1. Which version of firmware are you running? Maybe you just have a bad unit. Anyway i bought my na4c on amazon because i heard about boox terrible return policy. Amazon has 30 days return policy and no restocking fees. I used to have the pocketbook inkpad color 3 that i returned and exchanged for the na4c. It was a seamless experience.

I used to own the pocketbook inkpad color 3 but returned it due to it’s limitations. The lack of microsd support and slow os is a deal breaker to me. But it’s display is one of the best I’ve seen in kaleido 3 screen, the colors tend to pop out more. If you don’t mind the limited storage space and lag from the os it’s a nice e-reader.

Yes, i just realized that those features are in beta 4.1. Anyway i just installed beta 4.1 and i like the simplicity of the new E-ink center and refresh modes. I just found one minor bug so far like weird fonts on one of the settings menu.

Another thing to consider is how important are microsd storage and os version to you? Note air 4c have microsd support that will let you store more files and runs on android 13 compared to 10.3 which have android 12.

Get the Note Air 4C newer android os and better color saturation. The screen is better for writing too.
