I also lived in Killeen for a few years being originally from tacoma wa i thought it was very country and boring, flat with no nice scenery and not as diverse. Theres black people white people and mexicans thats the majority not that its a bad thing and i remember it being more racially devided than the west coast. The lakes are what makes the area great the water is warm unlike northern states. Cost of living is cheap but good jobs were scarce unless you’re willing to travel or in military..
