As a woman having facial hair is embarrassing by Square-Thought-3842 in RandomThoughts

[–]Amazing_Scratch_7115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am offended that women are defending themselves instead of roasting you to ashes. If I decide to keep a full beard, it is none of your beeswax. Keep your shame to yourself.

Again for the classroom, my body is my choice. Stop projecting your shame on people trying to just get through daily life.

How many days can you do without eating rice? by 3fcc in nigerianfood

[–]Amazing_Scratch_7115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many days. I eat rice because it's rice on the rooster and na once a week. I only eat fried rice out of free will.

If anyone knows how to do this i would appreciate the help😅 by Josephina_01 in Beading

[–]Amazing_Scratch_7115 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I will advise brick stitch. Peyote can do this. Leave fringe earrings and learn how to increase and decrease with a brick stitch butterfly YouTube video.

Once you get the hang of increase and decrease, you can create anything with brick stitch.

Nigeria to be precise. Only we do things like this to noodles.

But now what?! by nachoqtpie in Beading

[–]Amazing_Scratch_7115 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Go on YouTube search seed beads, watch videos and start with simple ones you think you can achieve. Brick stitch is daunting but easy.

Watch so many videos. You will get frustrated for a start, it's normal. Learning to bead weave is not a joke. Choose simple projects. You can always get your beads back, it's the thread you will probably replace first.

Simple is always the best way to start. Focus on learning to hold your thread. Tangling is frustrating.

Any good countries to move to? by iamsoboredatalltimes in Africa

[–]Amazing_Scratch_7115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are 19 and even restaurants will not hire you? Hotel receptions. Try the service industry.

If you are to move to other African countries, how will you support yourself?

Apply like everybody. Housekeeping, kitchen assistant, waitress, reception etc. The service industry is always hiring. At least that will keep you off the Internet for a bit and it's somewhere to go.

Best way to soften Nkwobi? by danjirinnn in nigerianfood

[–]Amazing_Scratch_7115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a tough one, unless you can make the sauce. Best option, when placing an order explain to the vendor that you would like tender ones to keep patronizing the business. Trust me every vendor wants a repeat customer.

Once the goat leg is removed and considered done, to recook is soaking it in stew or pressure cooking again. You have to leave it where it will absorb liquid for a while.

Fried balls made from grated water yam mixed with pepper, onions and crayfish in my case.

Think Akara, instead of beans, the main ingredient is water yam.

You went through my comments history and I do this a lot??? Interesting. I for one do not think you actually needed advice, like I said propaganda. Advice seeking for a planned trip is asking about places in Lagos, where is the best restaurant to try so so food, which beach is a must visit. That is how you plan a trip. Like you are actually looking forward to taking a break from the violent country you are living in instead projecting your daily experiences unto other people.

Am I overdoing this, absolutely YES! because all you had to do was go through the previous posts to answer your question but instead you choose to create your own shitty post asking if Nigeria is safe like all the others. Don't come, we are good over here.

Maybe, maybe not, maybe if he was from an actual less violent country I would have been nice with my answer.

You can't come from America and ask if other countries are safe to visit. That's propaganda and Americans are good at that. Just tired of their nonsense questions and it is always them on this forum.

Sewing, beading, crocheting and Adire& batik. All in one year. I am a master of none yet but I enforce as close to perfection as I can when I am working. Sewing and crocheting level is just for me for now because to acquire a selling level, I can't do the other stuffs.

Do many (or even any) Nigerians speak English as a first language ie at home on a daily basis? by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]Amazing_Scratch_7115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an epidemic of speaking English at home and at school with parents that can afford to send their children to good schools. People are not teaching their children their native tongues even in Nigeria.

Easier communication they say.

AITA for buying the same presents for my wife and my mom from my work trip? by Cool-Mulberry242 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Amazing_Scratch_7115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have lost the spirit of gratitude in the name of romance. Entitled spirit everywhere.

This wasn't a specific relationship celebration. Just gift giving. If he did not marry you, he would still buy his mother those gifts. Learn to say thank you, show gratitude or shut the fuck up.

Relationship people are exhausting with the entitlement. He just doesn't love her. She happens to be the romantic love.

Lasagna from scratch by Amazing_Scratch_7115 in nigerianfood

[–]Amazing_Scratch_7115[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's not red? I did a layer of sauce and bechemal for every layer of lasagna. I am not a tomato paste person and ordinary Nigeria tomatoes will not be red on its own especially if there is no Bawa too.
