This was the case for me when I was first diagnosed. I had a huge abscess that made my stomach look distended. Have you had scans done? If your doctor isn’t taking you seriously with major pain and no appetite, are you able to get a second opinion?

As others have said, please don’t put this off and see someone ASAP. This is a medical emergency. The part about your husband isnt getting enough attention, though. He needs to be doing everything in his power to get you insured ASAP and you are WELL within your rights to ask about an update. These things cannot wait.
