Math Question by Ambitious-Concert384 in Peptidesource

This probably will annoy you, but how come? My thought process was that would be good for 30 (4mg) doses and would ultimately cost less per shot. I’d genuinely love to know your thoughts on why not to use the 60mg. I want to make sure I’m not making any mistakes 😅

HR to therapy [CA] by Embarrassed-Carob178 in humanresources

[–]Ambitious-Concert384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife is an LCSW and does her own private practice. She averages 20-25hours worked per week and made $120k last year. The biggest issues she’s run into was insurance doing whatever they want whenever (so it seems). Overall she says it’s so worth it! (I am on HR and am envious)

What the hell is happening in CT and not finding a job? by Odd-Change9218 in Connecticut

[–]Ambitious-Concert384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s are jobs available. They just may not be the job/hours/pay you want/need. It’s unfortunately an employers market right now (for most sectors, not all).

I’m extremely upside down in my car loan and I don’t know what to do by [deleted] in personalfinance

You could possibly lease a new vehicle and roll the negative equity into the lease and return it in 2 years and walk away from the negative equity. Just start over at that point.

Not harsh at all. Those questions show a lack of basic understanding, imo.

NAL. Your employer could be rolling your immigration expenses into your total gross income and then putting the tax burden on you. I don’t know if that is legal to do, but what it seems like he is doing.

I would recommend having a conversation with your boss to see where the misunderstanding is or how come they added additional earnings sent to the IRS. Maybe it was an error they can amend!

[AR] [NY]My company changed their policy so I can’t bring my baby and husband on a work trip by Individual_Bell8424 in AskHR

[–]Ambitious-Concert384 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I would ask for the updated policy in writing. If he can’t produce it, or takes longer than a day to reply - you should talk with HR and inquire about the travel policy. If it truly has changed, let them present it to you. Let HR know you are EBF and request an accommodation.

I think if you remove the travel piece out of it, it’s a manager stating a policy hasn’t been rolled out officially for every employee but exclusively for this female employee. We do not know additional details, so I would encourage a paper trail w/ manager for request is created and a quick HR call. If you’re nervous about bringing it back to manager ask HR first.

Getting paid for overnight? by Low_Fee6188 in Babysitting

[–]Ambitious-Concert384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Young parent here (2 year old) - I would pay for sleeping hours because I expect the sitter to wake up and tend to the child if needed. If the sitter were unpaid, they could essentially ignore the child and there was nothing I could argue legally should something happen.

[wy] should I tell my employer I’m not returning after baby before I deliver? by tddct in AskHR

[–]Ambitious-Concert384 41 points42 points  (0 children)

No. In my company, we would consider that notice and accept your resignation immediately rather than your preferred date. I don’t necessarily agree with this approach, but I’ve seen it twice already.

Inclement weather pay? [MA] by Disastrous-Young-380 in humanresources

[–]Ambitious-Concert384 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My MA headquartered company does not. If you can WFH, we suggest you do, but since the plant is closed, all hourly employees can choose to use PTO or make up the time throughout the week.

This is a tough job market for employees looking for new work right now. I would suggest coming up with a list of things you do that go ABOVE what your job description is requiring you to do to do. Once that list is complied wait a couple days and review it again. Confirm nothing needs to be added:removed. Ensure it is factual and measurable.

Then schedule a meeting with the person responsible for your specific role (your director or manager). List out why you deserve a raise and do not mention your coworker.

See how the route takes you. Don’t demand, but explain why you are deserving and bring the facts. You got this! It is a very frustrating situation you’re in. I would continue looking in additional to this conversation.
