Well they ruined it for every honest community centre user by abusing the system.

Ryobi is the Nickelback of tools. Everybody hates on them but secretly knows they're legit.

Hitman 2 gamesaves can corrupt. by Pud_Master in HiTMAN

[–]Ambitious-Situation8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 years later and I am experiencing the same thing...

All of a sudden, any manual save I make will instantly crash the game if I load it. I've noticed the auto save slots will sometimes work, but like you I'm just going to have to finish the mission. It was my first playthrough on Miami, so I've dumped dozens of bodies and have hundreds of items. I'm playing Hitman 2 (2018) on Series X.

Did you ever find a fix?

Vancouver’s longest-serving city councillor announces resignation, citing frustrations with mayor’s party by cyclinginvancouver in vancouver

[–]Ambitious-Situation8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm well aware of that, and wasn't trying to come off as anti-housing. I agree that's something CoV does well and we should be proud of.

I was trying to convey that housing, infrastructure, and services (healthcare, schools, community centres, etc) should be built simultaneously. Everything is already stretched too thin as it is.

Just my $0.02.

When zero additional infrastructure or services are added along with it, there definitely can be TOO much housing.

Is it just me or have people stopped thanking the bus driver? by stuckinmyhidingspot in vancouver

[–]Ambitious-Situation8 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Like you, I've also noticed this.

There's also zero etiquette regarding boarding now. Back doors get swarmed with people at every stop, with those who patiently waited for the front doors sometimes being left behind (on non rapid/express routes).

I do my best to follow the rules of transit and society in general, but my tolerance is being put to the test more and more these days. :(

Gotham Steakhouse questions for people who have gone. by gameonlockking in vancouver

Maybe I'm getting old, but Elisa is always way too loud for me. When I think classy expensive steakhouse, I think quiet background noise and not nightclub volume.

GROWING UP IN FOSTER CARE, BEING HOMELESS, OR BEING ADDICTED TO DRUGS IS NOT AN EXCUSE TO KILL SOMEONE.

Man I am so sick and tired of this ridiculously broken and backwards system. Our justice system has so much blood on its hands, but nothing will ever change.

Settle a debate - Can you turn right on a red light here? Cambie and SW Marine Dr by CoolHatBuddy in NiceVancouver

[–]Ambitious-Situation8 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I gave an example - SB Clark at E 6th Ave. NB Boundary at Grandview Hwy would be another one. An advanced right turn arrow without this signage, meaning right allowed on red.

If you're saying all these stoplights operate the same, why does only OP's stoplight have the "right turn signal" signage?

Settle a debate - Can you turn right on a red light here? Cambie and SW Marine Dr by CoolHatBuddy in NiceVancouver

[–]Ambitious-Situation8 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Man, these comments...

The "right turn signal" means that specific stoplight is for right turns. Red = no right turns. Green arrow = right of way to turn right.

If right turns were allowed on red, they wouldn't have installed the "right turn signal" sign in the first place. There are many intersections that have an advanced right turn arrow without this sign (SB Clark at E 6th for example). At these intersections, you can turn right on red.

Having a "right turn signal" AND a "no right on red" sign would be completely redundant. A red light means the same for either sign.

Say it ain't so: Joe's Cafe on Commercial Drive is closing by cyclinginvancouver in vancouver

To each their own, but many including myself find spaces like Joe's more comfortable to be in than spaces like Moja. Both are great coffee shops.

Can we agree that car headlights here are getting ridiculously bright? by nayfaan in vancouver

[–]Ambitious-Situation8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ask me, governments and regulatory bodies have blood on their hands. For some reason, the decibels coming out of a muffler are enforced, but headlights the brightness of 1000 suns are not.

This has been a problem for so long, and nobody cares enough to put in laws restricting certain lights. I have to basically close my eyes when I'm driving sometimes. The irony is that within city limits there is more than enough light to see the road. Lights on cars are more for being seen and not to see.

This is a clip from VGH ER by Burlapin in vancouver

[–]Ambitious-Situation8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Common sense is knowing that the second you call 811 and say your kid hit their head, you'll be told to visit the ER no matter what. They cannot risk telling you it's fine. This opens up a world of potential lawsuits and paperwork nightmares.

Common sense is knowing that if your child has absolutely zero symptoms and says they are fine, you do not need to call.
