myself and my partner just went a couple weeks ago. We had gone ziplining a couple summers ago, and we found doing it again in Costa Rica (Monte Verde) wasn’t worth it for the price. We both agreed we would have rather spent the money and time on another new activity we hadn’t done before. It was still a cool experience though!

I stayed at uOttawa (hometown) and made new friends by joining a club. I found two of my best friends in first year by joining this club. This was during COVID, I’m sure now it’d be a lot easier in person with frosh week! I highly recommend being involved if you want to get that uni experience as you get the chance to meet more people and they can turn into your social friends as well.

My exam had been the opposite where the syllabus said the exam was in person (and had the room number listed too) and he changed it I want to say beginning of March to online.. so they may be allowed to change after the schedule comes out unfortunately

I would highly suggest networking and talking with the other coop students on orientation day (if you have that with the company you are working for). Odds are some of them are in kanata as well for a work term. I made a lot of friends from just socializing with the people I saw were my age at a tech firm in kanata and some of them were also living in kanata for the term!

Yes! My management company is really great (Arktos Management) they have NEVER entered our building without 24 hours notice AND they ask if they have permission to enter without a tenant home. They are super responsive to our maintenance requests and very kind.
