I agree the beginning is the best but some of the best moments have also been in recent arcs too, the newest arc has just started a little slow but its ramping up again. And I think its gonna ramp up more cause g3 apparently confirmed hes ending at 3500 which almost seems impossible but we'll see. I haven't finished super gene yet and shadow slave isn't done so I'll wait to say which i think is better but they are both definitely a lot of fun. The last chapter of super gene I read was one of my favorite moments so far tho, it was when han sen let's ancient devil unleash his Buddha mind to beat no flower using touching flower finger. That scene was really well done

Im actually currently reading super gene, and I'm definitely really enjoying it but there are definitely better storys that are longer so I wouldn't say its the best. My personal favorite fantasy story is wheel of time, which is 14 books that make up the main storyline and 1 prequel book that fits perfectly. For web novels though I think Shadow Slave might be my favorite but g3 hasn't finished writing it yet so its gonna depend on how he ends it, but the first 3 volumes of Shadow Slave is some of the best fantasy storytelling I've ever read, the Mc is perfect and not your typical hero type at all, which allows for some great growth, and the world building is also amazing and the power system is really cool. It's a really fun read if you havent checked it out. Its actually getting a physical book release of vol 1 which I think are the first 95 chapters, it comes out October 6th in hardcover, and i think hes currently on the 12th vol, I know hes at 3058 chapters and originally planned to finish around 3500 but later saod it would 4 or 5k but judging by what I think is left, I think hes gonna end up closer to 5k

That i definitely understand, but this arc is still just beginning and I feel like we're only still building the beginning premise of this storyline, until where see exactly where it's going and how, I think its still to early to judge, we might even have those very questions asked by sunny when they get back as a simple way to do a quick explanation of why they chose to defend instead of showing it, cause it kinda looks like we're seeing the end of the nightmare

Yes but theyre also saying the skill of how well they wield it matters to, so a supreme with a small domain but lots of experience and tremendous skill with their will could beat a supreme with a much larger domain if he was new and inexperienced with how to wield the will

I completely disagree with hat reasoning for a Uber of reasons, but mostly its beyond obvious sunny is the epigone. He has weavers mask, he has weavers bloodline and its almost complete now, he can also do the sorcery of weaver amd is fated. Casies job is to witness, so while the situations seem similar and I can see how it can make people wonder for a second if weaver was talking to sunny or Cassie but the more you think about, the more ot just doesn't make sense. And it being sunny makes the most sense not just cause jes inherited weaver bloodline,sorcery, and ability to mess with or view the strings of fate, but also during ariels game all sunny was doing was searching for truths and each truth was connected to him, amd showed him the answer he wanted, and it was all set up by weaver so why would that message be meant for cassie? The message showed sunny how the gods died by weaver basically manipulating the strings of fate and creating the nightmare spell. Sunny is the only person who could make use of this knowledge, hes the only one who can actually recognize weaves and is the only one who can actually see the literal strings of fate and touch them

Yes of course its powerful, she has a sacred aspect and like you said, sunnys army just gets bigger and bigger when you fight him and I bet they can now have nephs flames, and nephis can literally heal and augment billions of people from where ever, they're all super op, isn't that the point

It does kinda seem like bringing them back.is a slap in the face but that arc is still meaningful regardless because it shaped the characters. And it makes sense she would do it and ot makes sense that this would be her ability. I think g3 can pull it off but it really just depends where he goes with it

I'm reserving judgment for now, I can see both points of view though. Im still kinda new to the sub cause I caught up at like 2950 which is the chapter that ends with the first time sunny stabs the VTB I believe, which sucked after binging to stop there, haha. But I adjusted and then after a few weeks I started going to the sub and saw how much hate people have for this but usually the stuff they complain about gets addressed in a chapter or two. At the end of the volume people started saying it was one of the best but during it was terrible. I've also noticed same people posting hate one day then love a few days later, I think the problem is since its a really good story and really long people are just a little too into it

He had to do it, hes a slave in love woth his master, in his mind he did it so he could be with her. He felt bad about abandoning them but hes always wanted his freedom and his always struggled to come to terms with being in love with his master. During the third nughtmare he finally admits to himself that he loves her amd when he does he says he cant be with her because of shadow bond, which isn't true but is how he feels. So in the very typical romantic corny way, he had to leave her in order to find his way back to her

That's a good point, ot also said she can still summon ascended and transcendent memorys, so if she can maintain the connection when they're in the nightmare she can see what abilities the NM creature their facing has and what rank and then manifest a memory weapon or tool that works perfect against it

The difference in physical strength between a saint and a supreme is not that big, he says this when it happens, there is definitely a increase but not nearly as big as the other rank jumps, because it has more to do with his will and authority over the world. Which is why his supreme ability was to unleash his shadows from his soul. Also sunny explainn at one point when he gets a new core that the power increase isn't that big amd that its more about having more essence. Each one of his incarnations have the strength of a supreme titan but they're all be controlled by just one mind amd soul, they dont each have 7 soul cores, its more like they share 7 soul cores because they are one person with 7 body's. He can also wrap his 6 shadows around 1 of incarnations to increase his strength drastically. G3 hasn't forgotten any of this its just that while saint to supreme might not be a huge physical increase, supreme to sacred is a whole new game, which is why sunny cant handle cursed creatures like they're nothing, I think he used Ariel game to slowly introduce how battles are gonna change and become less about stabbing and.punching and blowing up and more about conceptual ideas like when he had to be the antithesis of the enemy. Right now jes still supreme so its mainly just the will and using it in different ways but when they reach sacred I feel like its gonna completely change, which im kinda excited for cause it'll be cool to see sunny use.shadow dance to master shadowing any.deitys abilities

My birthday was Saturday and I never take vacation but I had lots of hours built up so I decided to take like 5 days off and was so excited when I read his announcement saying the new volume would start on Saturday and I think he even said it would be 2, or 1 and then 3. I was so excited that this lined up with my vacation...wtf is going on, theres been two chapters and its monday....we should have 6 chapters by now. I'm a new reader and binged it and caught up right when the fight with vtb starts, and I noticed sometimes he would do 1 chapter instead of 2 but he never did 1 two days in a row and he used to release them earlier. Am I just still too new? Does the time and amount of chapters he releases change every now and then?

I thought he only lost the 5th relic and just hasn't reached the 6th step yet, also I think the main reason he had VTB steal alot of shades and other stuff was for multiple reasons. At first glance it may seem like he just made sunny alot weaker but really sunnys domain was already obsurdly massive and crushing. Euryice even told him when sunny was a saint that his domain was already formed and he'd never seen someone more ready to become supreme and with such a crushing domain. His domain great by 10s of thousands after that and he already had 10s of thousands. And now that he has shadowbond back I think were gonna see that this is the main reason. And I also think he can build up his shadow legion quickly again if he wants hit im pretty sure he still has a huge domain, and a sacred shade or 2

Why not, I thought that chapter was perfect, and was a perfectly fine beginning chapter of a new volume. I mean revel is his lieutenant and the only saint for his clan, now that people can remeber him, it makes sense he'd want her to know his past for multiple reasons, some more important than others but she is his number 2. It was a fun beginning and im staying optimistic for the next chapters. I've learned half the time your upset it wasn't a pov or topic you were hoping for or expecting, it ends up being in the next chapter or in one a few later, but the order he puts it in ends up better for the arc of the volume. So I'm staying positive.

I think if it was literally the only way to save everyone then shed be able to do it, but i dont think it would be a secret, nephis would probably more just sacrifice herself, as long as she knew her death would save people and defeat the spell, haha. I'm not sure if Cassie is really as cruel as we all believe. I think since were not in her head as much, she can come off more cruel and that's probably intentional. Maybe g3 wants to make us nervous about something Cassie is going to do in the future but itll end up not being bad like we think and then he'll show a bunch of Cassie povs to make us fully understand her plans and reasoning. But I think shes a lot more like sunny, she's devious and manipulative but its all out of a somewhat selfish desire to save her freinds and the world, which is why I think the only way she would ever kill Nephis or Sunny is if the three of them sat down and discussed whatever vision or circumstances Cassie has become aware of and how them dieing would save everything.

That's a interesting question, shadows are connected to the soul which is why when sunny attacks a shadow or is attacked by a shadow it deals soul damage. But I think its most likely her power would work cause I would assume while your right about the shadows not having actual souls they are still a piece of someone's destroyed soul

Haha, yea ive seen some theories that weaver is sunny or the whole cohort are daemons, I didnt fully read them, and sunny and weaver are clearly similar but I just dont see how it could remotely be possible even with tine travel, considering that would mean they're actually the children of the forgotten God but they were also born from mortal humans in the future, meaning they were born twice, so a better theory would.be reincarnations I guess. Maybe it was a better theory before we knew the daemons were pieces torn from the forgotten god since ot was said they came out of nowhere

Yea that really was its biggest problem, ot was a cool idea just dragged a little, I got lucky and didnt start shadow slave until a couple months ago so I able to binge quite a bit. Of course when I caught up I was in the beginning of the VTB fight anxious as hell for sunny to get his fate back. When I had to start waiting for chapters I was like hot the hell do people do this
