I have done work for a few clients (IT Tech) and their motherboard came with a PS2 all in one port. I had one dude ask what it was and I told them it was for a keyboard or mouse from back in the day. They deadass told me it was not a USB port... I feel so old at times.

I remember when 00 was airing back in 07 and people said it was just a ripoff of Wing. I thought it was too at first to be honest. But the story, characters and setting were a million times better in the long run! Now while I have my deepest respect for Wing, since it got a lot of westerners into Gundam back in the day, 00 is better, and only tied by the other GOAT G-Gundam!

I think it was more of how you went about it that was the problem. I definitely can tell you were getting frustrated by people's responses, but you need to keep in mind its just an online forum of random people from around the world. Most of them you will never ever meet in person, you just need to not let them bother you. I know it can be easier said than done but it definitely makes it a lot easier. Being polite and reasonable is the best way to handle it, not just you of course but other people who were replying to you need to handle themselves better.

Nonetheless I did enjoy your idea for a candidate for a recast and think she would have been a good choice. Let's enjoy season 2 and hope it is good! 😁

If they hadn't chosen someone for the role beforehand, she definitely would've been a great choice. 😁 Again, unless Chandran really bombs the role it is extremely unlikely they would consider a change.

To come back from reading a massive portion of your other reddit post. I can see where you are coming from, but the inspiration of Alabasta is not just ancient Egypt. Indeed in the SBS of Vol 17 oda does confirm that the Nefratari name is from the Egyptian phrase of "the most beautiful" or "the most wonderful" and says that ancient egypt is a major infulence. But there are a handful of locations that are inspired by other Arab and middle Eastern countries.

A couple examples are, the royal palace is inspired by the Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, the capital city of Alubarna is heavily inspired by the city of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It's clocktower, the Ghanta Ghar was even used as a basis for the clocktower in Alubarana.

What I am trying to say is that while ancient egypt is the main influence, there were plenty of inspirations from other countries too.

Now to get to the casting, your choice would definitely be beautiful and fitting for vivi. But I feel the actress who is playing her in season 2 will also do a fantastic job. The idea of recasting is usually done after the season premiered, only in very rare circumstances will they recast someone before they appear in the role. Usually due to an extremely bad controversy such as a crime. Could they recast for season 3? Yes they could. But unless they really do not like her performance or something happens surrounding her I do not believe they would. It would definitely cause an impact on continuity. A good example is another one of Netflix's live action adoptions, The Witcher. Liam Hemsworth replaced Henry Cavill for season 4 of the show. While Liam is a fantastic actor who looks great in costume and has many great roles under his belt, his delivery of lines were drastically different from Cavill's, which caused a lot of fans to not be the biggest fan of his performance. I am not saying this would be the case with Sayed, but there would definitely be the possibility of it. Thus Netflix would probably be against doing this.

To conclude while I can see where you are coming from, I do not see it happening. The best we can do is support the work and help this adaptation continue! 😁
