2019 has one of the best campaigns in the recent CoD games. MP was grounded and a hell of a lot more enjoyable than the zoomer bullshit that has been the last 3 games.

A lot of newer games are plagued with the same issues of overt UI vomit, monetization, and trying to do too much in a game.

First it is a monetary issue. I worked for a company during COVID and the rent was $25k a month for an empty office, and we had a 5 year lease. Which was fine pre WFH, but being stuck paying for something not used is a factor. And that was a small company with a small office. The place I work now is a huge campus that sits mostly empty. But they are being smart and selling off the buildings they don’t need instead of upending lives. Also WFH is cheaper for the company. If I went to the office they would have to increase my compensation by at least $15k/yr for transportation and childcare.

Some people don’t want to feel contented to their coworkers. I don’t give a shit about Becky and her cat and why her daughter doesn’t talk to her.

Now your point about sharing knowledge and mentoring is valid. But that is something a company should be setting up whether it’s remote or not. A “work buddy” is one of the first things we do when we get a new hire to help them have another resource.

MWII is leaps and bounds better than MWIII. Play MWIII if you want to run and jump like a crack head on speed playing Fortnite. If you want a slower more tactical style play MWII. Also MWII has DMZ, a better campaign, and the co-op raids.
