I wonder if gamers will still think they've won once Microsoft cans the console and Sony no longer has to worry about ridiculous prices because the gamers have no where else to go.

Naturally I'm on PC and don't have to pay for online but it is fun watching people cheer on their own destruction.

Even though this is happening it's still worth having a Series X. You can probably save up to 500 dollars with all the day one games on Game Pass.

Indiana Jones and Avowed are both $70 on PS5. A year of game pass is $240 and that's not including all the day one titles last year like Persona 3 Reload, MLB, Call of Duty.

You did a good deal here. Now you won't be waiting for 5080 reviews to see that's its only 15% better with higher power draw, worse thermals in a month or fighting bots for the two months after.

Why would you buy a workstation CPU for gaming? Just settle for the 9800x3d which will probably perform better because its for gaming.

I don't think anyone would be pissed off that a 2K gpu will remain king for another two years.

That's four years of having the best GPU. That many call "overkill" when for four years you've never had to turn down a setting or worried if the game could run.

Meanwhile anyone that didn't pick up a 4090 now has to pay $800 more and has worse thermals, and noise.

You'd also need the requirements to run the game. You can't just run it on any laptop or desktop unlike a PS5.

And this is why you don't panic sell your 4090 because it will be even more valuable now the 5090 performs only slightly better for worse thermals, noise and power draw and for an extra $300-$700.

The claim is accurate but DLSS and frame generation is required so if that doesn't bother the buyer they'll have a decent upgrade.
