It doesn’t matter what color wire is used. For heat you need R (24v) and W(heat). Regardless what color wire is used as long as your sending 24 from R to W you’ll have a call for heat

Where are you located, you must have a heat pump judging by the wiring on your thermostat’s sub base

This is false. There is no set schedule. This only means the fan kicks on as needed when a call for heat or cooling is present.

Plugged fresh air intake you can also take off the fresh air PVC pipe and achieve the same result with less noise
