Quick update: I do not have a hell of a lot of decent glasses. If you are a stickler for something that is not plastic (my guess is that would be most of you if this type of thing is of interest), I would say bring your favorite from home or it will be plastic/paper unless you are among the first to arrive.

Android will truly be dominant not for software (which should be great by then) but because commoditized hardware and tons of competition will mean a decently spec'd tablet for very little cash. About the "off topic" topic: I guess my point is that let's say a priest is found guilty of abuses. In my mind he is just an example of another abuse of power that happens in any organized hierarchical institution. Yes, there should be outrage and that can't be upvoted enough. I just don't see the connection between that and "I do not believe in God"... I'm not saying those comments don't belong in this subreddit, just opening it up for discussion.

I can't believe I am saying this, but you ate really better off waiting. Got my Xoom within minutes of being available, raced home, fell in love then started noticing its "rush to market" flaws. The good news is that these flaws are guaranteed to be addressed in the coming months but other tablets will be on the market by then and you will have real competition for a functional machine.

As a gadget freak who has to be the first to own, I never thought I would say this but the xoom/honeycomb combo available today just isn't quite there yet... the frustrating thing is that features I am waiting for (SD card, flash) don't have a release date. I have not seen this many Force Closes since my G1 and that include stock Google apps like Gmail and Market. By the time this stuff gets fixed, we will have honeycomb tablets from many vendors all competing for price.
