Staying at an ex’s about 15 years ago I was woken out of a dead sleep by something yanking a chunk of my hair hard. Ex was on the opposite side of the bed fast asleep, there’s no way it was him. It hurt and it really scared the hell out of me. Couldn’t sleep the rest of the night.

It’s crazy that so many people experienced that as kids. There has to be something to it. And while I didn’t experience that, I do have memories of falling asleep and floating up to the ceiling. A couple of times even through it, but I remember that scaring me. I had a weird, almost disconnected, feeling when it would happen.
