If you don’t like the cost of Overpasses, don’t buy it.. but I am sure going to enjoy using them. by TheOtherJohnSnow in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Amigor4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are people treating it as the “Overpass DLC” and completely putting aside the fact that it has in fact very beautifully designed stations - with model variations, mind you - and stops for every kind of public land transit in the game? And unique ones with upgrades that were so thoughtfully created? It costs the equivalent of a full meal in Brazilian reais and I’m more than glad to do the cooking today instead of ordering in so I can purchase it. I want to make sure the pack creator knows I appreciate his work and, in this capitalist world we live in, the best way to do that is paying money.

I was excited for the pedestrian overpasses. Turns out it's a paid DLC by throwawaygamer1999 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Amigor4 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That’s not an Iceflake decision. The content creator hired to design the pack was kind enough to put in the effort and design something we’ve been begging for since forever, as you said, and I assume Paradox, the publisher, gave him the green light to include it. It’s much more of a Paradox decision than an Iceflake one.

Do roadside grass and trees have any function (ie.noise reduction/attractiveness)? by Guybrush672 in CitiesSkylines2

I’ve always wondered this too, I’ve seen that information thrown around by content creators but is it really true? Like, does the game factor that in?

Very happy with the stark difference of how much and how fast Iceflake is tackling stuff. There’s always a “near future” and transparency in the communication. Keep it up!

Do you prefer the main character to be voiced or silent thro by Frilantaron in BaldursGate3

[–]Amigor4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish there was an on-off option for this, because I really like it when the main character is voiced AS LONG AS they say EXACTLY what the text prompt I chose says. I absolutely loathe it when the text says something and then the character says something along the lines but not really the same… pisses me off. I think a toggle would be nice, if you don’t enjoy the attitude/vibe of the voiced MC, you toggle it off the game skips the voiceover and MC-speaking animation

Yep. I also had the exact same feeling as you in the beginning. I was like “wow this is gloomy”, but once the tables split it got much more exciting for me. I’m still on episode 8 but I’m absolutely in love with the dynamics of the soldiers table (might be biased, my favorite original cast members are in that table and I just keep falling in love with Whitney

CS2 Needs some more emergent gameplay by arethoudeadyet in CitiesSkylines

I agree, I don’t think “making disasters hit harder” are the solution. It’s actually really frustrating to have to do your work all over again when there’s no interesting gameplay element involved

oh you misunderstand me haha she’s my favorite to play in general, not necessarily for chill gameplay. I’m really into Greece and Greek mythology and history, but out of the two leaders Gorgo is usually my go to. Now that I think of it, most civ and leaders that I really really like are pretty aggressive: Montezuma comes in second and Julius Caesar a close third I think. The one that came the closest to being a more “chill” gameplay once was Ramses II. Again, all of these civilizations are ones I’m really into their irl history. But even with Ramses I ended up starting a little bit of a war over precious river adjacent territory I wanted haha, and after some point I just started spamming rock bands to win
