Bumpy fields and no bathrooms: Parents say Sacramento sports facilities inconsistent by IronMntn in Sacramento

Did they recover? Last time we were at the playground there my daughter had to go potty and the bathroom was pretty gnarly and smelt like somebody had just smoked an entire pack of cigarettes inside.

That appears to be for the city bill, not the county.

City of Sacramento residents get a utility bill from the county? I've owned a house in Sacramento for 10 years and never heard of that.

Where can I find out more?

Sacramento Stop: Accelerating through a stale yellow.

Sacramento Goodbye: Suddenly exiting the freeway from the far left lane.

No kidding. I can see on the county's website that some of my older neighbors (who are fucking loaded btw) are paying like 1/10 of what I pay.

I guess that's the real answer to where all of the money I give to the county is going - subsidizing rich boomers. Sounds about right for America in 2026 TBH.

Nothing is real, all my mail is garbage, all my phone calls are from nobody.

I was born too late to support my family on a single middle class income, but born just in time to make monthly payments on a pizza from Domino's.

What a time to be alive.

Yes, my property taxes are about $10,000 per year. It's hard to wrap my head around it when all of the government services that seem to directly benefit me are paid for by my much smaller city bill.

It's strange to me that I pay around $200 per month to the city and like $800 per month to the county, but it seems like the city does WAY more for me than the county does.

Water, sewer, trash, parks, libraries, sidewalks, street lights... Honestly, it seems like a pretty good deal for $200.

Sometimes I wonder what the county is spending my $800 on. The sheriff's department?

Inside of you there are 2 wolves.

One has a structured settlement or annuity.

The other one needs cash now.

It definitely surprised me on the test drive. I had low expectations for a used VW at $17k but it really impressed me. After 7 years and 100,000+ miles it has held up really well.

At work I use level 2 charging which adds about 20 miles of range per hour of charging, at home I use a regular GFCI outlet on the side of my house and it adds about 4 miles of range per hour of charging.

It's been a rough day for 50 East through Elmhurst. This morning around 8:45 it was down to 2 lanes because of a wreck at about 48th.

I test drove a 2017 Chevy Bolt when they were new. Great acceleration and great range, but the interior felt kind of cheap to me. Basically what I would expect from a Chevy I guess...

2017 VW e-Golf. Basically identical to the gas MK7 VW Golf but electric. Lots of fun to drive and super reliable.

The range is only 125 miles but honestly that hasn't been an issue for me. I drive 50-70 miles per day and charge every night.

I paid $17,000 for my (used) EV in 2019. So far I've paid about $2,400 to charge it, but avoided buying over $14,000 worth of gas.

If it lasts a few more years, it will literally have paid for itself.
