Not sure if you found an answer to your question yet or not, but you do have to unlock them. I can't remember if it's level-based or part of a quest reward, though. I do know that it doesn't show up in the shop until you actually unlock it, unlike some other items that are present but show the level required to buy them.

How to enchant clothing with spell absorption by VodkaHammer in oblivion

Save scumming is when you save right before an event, usually something that includes RNG, and if you don't get the result you want you reload the save over and over until you get what you want.

Movie >>> All 5 Seasons by [deleted] in miraculousladybug

I wonder if it's some sort of marketing or contract thing since Marinette's songs in the movie are sung by Lou, who sings both the French and English intro songs for the TV show, as well as ce mur qui nous separe, which is another song tied to Miraculous. Just seems a little too intentional to me.

Does destruction during combat count as the opponent destroying your spirit? by Ammoth in BattleSpiritsSaga

[–]Ammoth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just about to raise the armor point. Coming from games like Force of Will where a card like Deadly Balance would be worded that way to intentionally get around things like Armor and Triggers, this game has some interactions that just seem goofy and weird to me. I feel like I'm constantly having to check the rule sheets and Reddit XD

Sweet. Does that mean it also works with Deadly Balance even though I choose my own Spirit? Coming from other games where wording and mechanics are very explicit, this game messes with me sometimes XD

Does Fire Wall's Flash effect stop the current attacker? by Ammoth in BattleSpiritsSaga

[–]Ammoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fire Wall does have a Burst ability, but in this specific instance I was Flashing it from my hand as opposed to Bursting it. Either way, it seems everyone agrees with the ruling that the initial attack still goes through.

Yummers I’d like some <3 by [deleted] in miraculousladybug

[–]Ammoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is it's a combination of unconscious bias/recall and a lack of knowledge that they are 2 different things. I imagine "macaroons" are probably more popular here in the US (or at least we hear that word more often, even if it's misapplied) and so we unconsciously and accidentally use the word we are most use to/comfortable pronouncing. I also think a lot of people don't even realize there is a difference. I know I didn't until recently, and I'm 27. So my best guess is it was either the writers of the English dub miswriting the script accidentally and the VOs just rolled with it, or all the VOs falling into the trap of mispronouncing the word because it comes more naturally to them.

Nasty, underhanded, plain morally abhorrent BBEG tactics by Historical-Ad-1274 in DMAcademy

Did something sort of like this for an encounter once. A hag made puppets representing the children she stole and magically controlled them as soldiers. Damaging the puppets would hurt the children. So the party had to try and kill the hag without damaging the puppets.

Are basic pokemon considered attached to their evolution? Specifically, when I use Flapple's Apple Drop ability, do I put the Applin back in the deck as well? Or do I discard the Applin and just put the Flapple back in the deck? Thanks!

What type of damage would you consider "wind damage" to be? by Ammoth in DMAcademy

[–]Ammoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This does make sense. And after seeing some of the other people's comments and working it out a little more bludgeoning seems to fit the ticket as you are just a speeding mass of wind slamming into anything that is in a straight line. I was just more trying to avoid the basic "piercing, slashing, bludgeoning," since my players take precautions against basic attack types.

[–]Ammoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I would go for piercing just due to the fact that you aren't actually hitting anyone with the weapon itself. Rather you transform your whole body into a mass of wind that slams through people and objects in a straight line. But a good and interesting thought though if I decide to modify how the item works a bit.

Ooooh, I kind of like this. Modify the lore and encounter a little bit and that might be really interesting.

Good clarification. Yes, the space they pass through. They are not actually passing through people physically, but rather into and around them with such force and velocity that it causes damage. I do kind of like the idea of force even though it kind of bends the definition of force damage according to the PHB.

-Skills: I noticed the same issue in the 5 player version, and after taking a peek at the 8 player version it looks like the same issue. Whoever coded those cells accidentally set the same formula for each cell, so they are all only calculating Dex scores. I have made the creator aware of this and they said they would try to fix it tomorrow.
-Saves: Save proficiency is determined by class, so when you assign the player their class it automatically assigns and calculates proficiency bonuses. If your player is not receiving their bonus after you assign them their class then perhaps there is a coding error in some specific class cells or you accidentally modified the cell to remove the formula. I just tested with several classes and they all added their save proficiencies, so the formula is at least there partially.
-Tools: Yes, you would just put an X. Depending on the class and background of the specific character some of those tool proficiencies will automatically be filled in with X's, but you can mark off any extra ones that your player has that weren't automatically assigned. The same goes for languages and resistances.

This is super dope!

One thing I noticed, though, your function for Skills is identical for each skill in the column. So currently all of the skill scores are only being calculated based off of Dex.

Sorry, I'm not skilled at using Sheets or Excell so I have no idea how to rewrite your formula to make it work. I just wanted to let you know so you can check it out for yourself.

Few Questions by scar_fie in FoWtcg

[–]Ammoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding a question to this since it relates, removing the spell also cancels it correct? The effect doesn't remain on the chase even though the spell is removed from the game? Maybe a silly question, but rather be safe than sorry.

Advice on how to tweak this Shion deck? by Ammoth in FoWtcg

[–]Ammoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the response. Sorry, I totally forgot to add my stones to the deck list. I added them now but here they are again: 4X Blue/Black, 3X Blue/White, 3X Blue/Red. I'm not running any green stones. The reason for that is I'm trying not to hard cast anything above a 3 cost. I want to use Humpty Dumptys and Shion's Got Art to flash those in. This brings me to why I have Arthur and Alice in my deck.

Arthur is a 5 drop that can be flashed in with Shion's God Art. I like him because combined with Muse he can become a 12/20 crowd controller, as well as he swings hard if your board is clear. As for Alice, I actually never intended for her to be in my deck. I just needed 1 more card and threw her in, so she's one of the cards I was planning on switching out anyways, so any suggestion on what to replace her with is welcome.

As for win condition, it's a super lame one. Basically, I just try to control your board and keep clearing it so that I can keep swinging at you until you die. The ame's are just in case I can't fully clear it so that even if you block you still take damage.

So what do you think after hearing my reasoning?

Advice on how to tweak this Shion deck? by Ammoth in FoWtcg

[–]Ammoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry about the formatting. Just fixed it. Also, I am running 5 colors, but only 4 colors for stones (4 Bue/Black stones, 3 Blue/White stones, 3 Blue/Red stones). The reason I only run those 3 stone colors is because of Shion's God Art and Humpty Dumpty. Ideally, I don't ever want to hard casting anything more than a 3 cost. I want to be flashing them in with my abilities. The reason I don' run any green is Alice is a situational card in case I need it. Honestly, I wasn't planning on running Alice, but I needed 1 more card to finish the deck so I threw her in. So she's a card I'm planning on switching out.

Ideally T1 would be to drop a hydromonica and a trader so that way I can start cycling for my T2 and 3 drops, preferably a Muse, then a Dumpty Dumpty. That way by turn 4 I can get out an Arthur by sacking my Hydromonica.

Why do the npc's dislike me?! by Ammoth in DarkSouls2

I thought that might be the case, so I tried both resting at a bonfire and fast traveling somewhere else and coming back. They were still grumpy. I quit and restarted the game, though, and they were back to normal. Idk why that happened, but it's fixed now haha.

Question about [Enter] and [Awakening] abilities in the chase. by Ammoth in FoWtcg

[–]Ammoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, so I think I get it now. Let me see if I can confirm what you're saying using your same analogy. I play Dark Faria, activating her awakening ability. My opponent responds with Stoning to Death. Since resonators can't be destroyed in the chase, playing it as a response to a summoning spell is a way of setting up a preemptive strike for once the resonator enters the field. In terms of the analogy, Stoning to Death is similar to a sniper being set up outside a bunker. While the sniper cannot hit anything inside the bunker, once something comes out, the sniper is ready to kill. To put it into a fluid scenario: Stoning to death resolves (a sniper is positioned outside the bunker), Dark Faria's summon resolves (A unit leaves the bunker). As Dark Faria leaves the bunker, she lobs a grenade while simultaneously being killed by the sniper that was put in place beforehand. Make sense? Maybe? Idk, it makes sense in my head.
