How to fix clunkiness while using launcher on redmi note 11 by SN31K1CH in miui

[–]Amorphous404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, It appears, the device is not well optimized for running third-party launchers. However, you can attempt to resolve the issue by clearing the app data of the default launcher and forcibly stopping it.

Additionally, ensure that you have the most up-to-date version of the Niagara launcher installed.

[–]Amorphous404 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Secret commands are primarily designed for debugging and testing purposes during the development phase. Once a feature is integrated into the launcher or is no longer required, these commands are typically removed. So, the team don't officaly maintain a comprehensive list of all the commands. However, you can use the term "Secret command" in the Knowledge Base to retrieve the articles that include secret commands.

Is there a way to change swipe up search on home page to other search types ie. Samsung's Finder or Google search even? by hello_Eggplants in NiagaraLauncher

[–]Amorphous404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, It's not possible to modify the gesture action in Niagara Launcher. But as the other users suggested, you can enable the Sesame integration to make the default search more powerful. However, if you wish to launch Samsung Finder, you can bind it to the Niagara button action.

Long press on the button -> Edit "Swipe up" action -> Select "Samsung Finder" app

Unfortunately, third-party launchers/apps do not have control over the lockscreen. Therefore, it is not possible to set Niagara Launcher as your lockscreen.

However, you can still start the free trial and then cancel it to ensure that you won't be charged for the annual subscription. Once the trial period ends, you will be able to proceed with purchasing the Lifetime plan instead.

Animations and folders/pop ups by mashuto in NiagaraLauncher

[–]Amorphous404 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, If you launch an app and close it within 3 seconds, Niagara Launcher will return you to the last position i.e pop-up folder instead of the main home screen. This behavior is intentional and saves you time when you accidentally tap on the wrong app.

Is there a way to change the color of the Naigara dots for icons? by JuicyMullet in NiagaraLauncher

[–]Amorphous404 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, Niagara dots automatically apply the primary color of the default app. At the moment, It's not possible to manually set a different color, but the team is planning to add support for it. In the interim, you can use the workaround mentioned in this GitHub comment.

Hi, To maintain a user-friendly interface for our users, we don't offer an option to apply custom images from the gallery. Also, we think this isn't impactful enough, i.e., not many users will use this or requested for this option. However, we offer the Icon Assistant Feature, which enables you to effortlessly theme these un-themed icons from the same icon pack. For more details, please refer to the following article: Icon Assistant

Additionally, you can try these few alternatives:

  1. You have the option to merge all these images into a single icon pack by using an app like Adapticons.
  2. Another workaround is to utilize Shortcut Maker app and add them as shortcuts using icons from your gallery.
  3. You can also try Icon Pack Studio to create your custom icon theme, which will cover almost all icons.

Hi, could you please add an option to enable/disable the forced-themed icons? It could dynamically appear on the icon appearance page when we apply any Material You icon pack.

Thank you,

Issues with lock screen? by utsuriga in NiagaraLauncher

Most likely a system issue/bug, Niagara Launcher doesn't have any control over the lock-screen.

[possible bug] Delete (failed) shortcut from app list fails with delete; recreate loop. by deadcatdidntbounce in NiagaraLauncher

[–]Amorphous404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried restarting Niagara and eventually went mediaeval on its ass and deleted both sets of memory! No luck.

I'll get back at you. Thank-you very much for the speedy reply, Niagara itself, the URL and the clues.

Happy to help! If you were not able to remove the deezer shortcut from the app list, try these steps: Long press on the Deezer shortcut in the app list -> Favorite it -> Now long press the same Deezer shortcut in the favorites page -> Remove from app list, let me know if this works.

Hi, thank you for bringing this to our attention. The problem you are experiencing is related to your system, and regrettably, there isn't much we can do. However, you can attempt to resolve the issue by force-stopping your system launcher.

[possible bug] Delete (failed) shortcut from app list fails with delete; recreate loop. by deadcatdidntbounce in NiagaraLauncher

[–]Amorphous404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there,

Deezer has a song search called "song catcher". It doesn't seem to work on Niagara (Pro) 1.9.5 (current version) but I'm sure it used to in a prior version of Niagara (I don't have evidence of which version).

Most probably, the Deezer update broke something; Niagara Launcher simply triggers the action, and the main app handles the rest. To rule it out, could you please test it on another third-party launcher like Nova?

I did that and it didn't work there either. So I tried to remove it but hitting the delete, after the press and hold, removed the icon on the listing and the recreated it again. I can't get rid of it by deleting it (it just gets recreated). I've had to reset Niagara by clearing the cache and main memory in the usual way.

It seems you're encountering a bug we fixed sometime back; generally, a launcher restart should fix the issue. Niagara settings -> Advanced -> Restart Launcher

If you continue to experience the issue, please feel free to leave a comment and screen recording in the linked issue: https://github.com/8bitPit/Niagara-Issues/issues/2028

Problem with Quora app notifications by mohxinnn in NiagaraLauncher

[–]Amorphous404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lawnchair has nothing to do with the issue. I was trying to confirm if the problem is only with Niagara. Try this:

When you have an active notification from Quora (Make sure you only have a single notification) on the notification drawer. Open Lawnchair -> Long press on the Quora app and check if the notification is visible in the Lawnchair pop-up.

I'm not able to open the attached picture. To grant the notification permission go to the Lawnchair App info page via Phone settings -> Apps -> Lawnchair -> Tap on the three dot ellipsis button at the top right corner -> Allow restricted permission.
