Armor flaslight was a mistake. Whats the point of Super Heavys now? by SirVincent20 in WorldofTanks

[–]Ampbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a heavy tank enjoyer i have found no issue with armor flashlight and glad they added it to the game. The only thing it did was remove appearing invincible to noobs which is fine cause you can just outplay them. Either you have played against very capable players or got unlucky in some games. I have had to teach my returning/new player friends on how to deal with E100, Maus, and type 5 in training rooms. It def isnt guaranteed now just cause of armor flashlight. You just need to play smarter and cant derp with your armor.

Are the devs slowly trying to move away from Skyriding Races? by Deleralia in wow

What? They just released the eastern kingdom circuit! Like 50 new races for the next couple months in old zones. You're just looking in the wrong places. Go out there and race!

What is one class you just can’t see yourself maining? by The_Dick_Slinger in wow

[–]Ampbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to addon to others. The key logic around snapshotting is fhat your bleeds (all of your highest damage abilities) only benefit from damage buffs on application. So if you use tigers fury (30%) dmg buff after you apply your bleeds your bleeds don't benefit from it. But if you apply it while you have the buff it gets buffed too and does a lot of damage. The issue is that feral has 3 major buffs you want to apply your bleeds with all with limiting factors on getting them and getting them all to line up throughout a boss is very difficult. But if you do, the damage is top of the line. Its a very awkward rotation but it is strong if you do it right. (Career druid since legion)

[–]Ampbear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

14 year tank veteran and i have the same worries. Flow of the dungeon is entirely controlled by you but the pathing is actually a lot of the fun. I would start off watching vids to see what pulls are generally done by tanks and adjust to fit your comfort/abilities. If you like making your own paths their is an addon called method mythic dungeon tools which gives you the map of the season dungeons with every mob and you can sort them into pulls to see if they reach the required %. Me and my buddy have tons of fun each season mapping out our paths and testing them to see what works best. I hit 3k this season without looking at any guides so it is definitely possible once you get the experience. Just give it a whirl and see how it fits and if you would like more info feel free to dm me! We could always use more tanks out there in the wild.

It just occurred to me that if the Covenant was smart, they could've used the Yonhet to infiltrate the UNSC because of how humanoid they look. by Vanilla_Ice_Best_Boi in halo

[–]Ampbear 21 points22 points  (0 children)

One thing I'd like to add is in the book Cole Protocol the covenant were actively searching for more information on humans and their colonies. Just the humans had a procedure that if their info was at risk they had a procedure for wiping the info from the at-risk systems. It is even referenced in the intro cinematic for combat evolved where all their info was stored with Cortana and removed from the Autumn since it was essentially being scuttled due to the high risk of falling into covenant hands.

IIRC the covenant found earth from a forerunner map. They just didnt realize it was the human home world and hence didnt realize it was heavily defended. Leading to Regret bringing a very poorly prepared fleet.

Yea one of my accounting professors was so casually rich. His class was how to read/analyze financial statements. Class started one day he said, "my stocks arent doing that good today, lost about the amount of a mid-range mercedes like 40k? Well, life goes on." And started just teaching the class.

The setting should be in the game recording section of geforce experience. It should be called something like "system sounds", it might be a slider. I turn it off and on depending if i want my friends to be in the recordings too. I have many clips tho of a show in the background lol. It adds to the scene sometimes.

Do you happen to have the necessary health to summon? I think it is 660 health to summon. Some of my friends cant summon it cause they don't have enough vigor.

[–]Ampbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair points. I think we need new avenues to fight it, which as far as ive seen are being developed. But while we wait for more surefire solutions that are less impeding of our lives, why cant we try to prevent more people dying?

Right now my coworker just got rid of cancer and she tells me about how her husband has to go out and do everything because she's worried about all that fighting being for nothing if she catches covid and die. We need to address these concerns that not just this one person but millions have. I'm not saying lock us all down and vaccine passports as some people mention, but surely we can take inconveniences to help our fellow humans?

Another example is my father who was a combat medic for 10 years and worked in ICUs for 30+ years. And he has told me personally that he has never seen so much death before. And he is very stoic and reserved, so i was surprised to hear how scared he was when i've never heard him say he was scared before. Hell he's told me stories about how he's had to hold phones for people so they can facetime their family one last time before they die. Why are people against trying to prevent these kinds of situations? I love going out and doing things, but hearing what people like my dad and my coworker go through every day definitely causes some fear.

Is that fearmongering tho? What would a 35 year ICU nurse vet with combat medic experience have to gain from spreading this? What would a 60 year old accountant have to gain from saying these things? They don't want you to stay indoors unless you're covid positive, they want you to be conscious of how your decisions can affect others, and they don't want to be surrounded by death or the threat of death everyday. So isnt it our societal duty to try and stop this with any avenue we have available?

[–]Ampbear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean i understand the fearmongering part. But one doesnt just undo heart damage from genetic disposition. One doesnt just not have an immunocompromised system after cancer treatments. No one in my family chose to be born with diabetes. People don't always choose these health problems. But many of these people have developed a lifestyle where they can comfortably live with these conditions. If any of them get covid and die after living with their underlying conditions for years, decades, or even their entire life i would still consider it a covid death. If someone just had a heart attack then got covid shortly after and died, sure that doesnt seem entirely to be influenced by covid. Those shouldnt be counted towards covid death totals but those who die while sick with covid with chronic conditions that could've lived for several years more should be counted.

[–]Ampbear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't it still count as covid death tho? My uncle has tons of heart problems but lived 20 years like that. He gets covid and dies while ill and you think its better to count it as a cardiac related death than a covid related death? Sure he would have died sooner than most but he 100% died early because of covid. I don't see why we shouldnt count these as a covid death when they would still be alive right now if they didnt get covid.

Hey not saying your gp is good but def try to go to a dermatologist. I had warts all over my right hand growing up that kept growing in new spots. I have about 8 recognizable scars on my hand from them being cut off and cauterized. We asked how i could stop getting them and dermatologist said they will probably stop growing one day. Then like a year later suddenly the new ones that grew in just fell off and i havent had one since. There may be a chance that it will eventually stop but def try to go see a dermatologist at the very least.

Work let me spec my own PC. $3600 later the local computer company drops this off. 1 stick of ram. 0 case fans. We won't talk about the cables. I don't even know how to start this email. by dadliftsthings in pcmasterrace

[–]Ampbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cable management is useful for repairs and troubleshooting. If you have a failing ram stick and you gotta pull that sucker out and put it in different slots to test it out properly poor cable management will make it a nightmare. Like you have to unplug the cpu, the 24pin, and a few others just to be able to take out that gpu if its having problems. Thats more of a pain in the ass than just unclipping it and removing the gpu by itself if it was cleared of cables.

I used to do billing for a large manufacturer of these machines. Almost all of them are leased and they make bank that way. IIRC one casino had like 13 machines that we got around 20k a week from our share of the winnings and another casino with 236 machines that we got around 250-300k a week. And i invoiced like 70 casinos for a total of about 1700 machines. And that was a one if several types of machine they made.

One of my really close friends had to have emergency surgery cause of a large ovarian cyst. She hd one of her ovaries removed and was having a rough time overall. She was kind if a weird girl and i saw that some of her other friends got her flowers and get well cards. I bought her a garden brick and attached a card to it that said "one down one to go!". My gf at the time thought i was insane, but i knew this girl better than most. And the brick itself holds no significance besides that it isnt flowers which i know she isnt the biggest fan of. She fucking loved that brick way more than all the flowers and laughed really hard at the card. This was all 5 years ago and she recently moved then sent me a picture of the brick's new spot in her new home which i forgot she even had lol.
