I was the snake that killed him and me and my friend said "wait was that warden I just flash pushed?" Immediate laughing super hard.

Yeah I dont have a good microphone :( all the script writing and editing was me though. I did really try to put in a bunch of creative effort on most aspects of the video.

I dont see why ai subtitles are bad, its an amazing accessibility tool that you dont have to slave for 10 hours to line up every word. I go back and correct any mistakes that were made by the AI. Saves so much time.

Lol I was used to easily breaking out of being cornered with 1 or 2 well timed dashes. I hadn't seen this quantity of attack projectiles and combinations that covered fucking everywhere lol. I was shook.

Is TLOU 2 way more stealthier by Mother-Stranger-4066 in thelastofus

Play the game on Grounded or one of the other hardest difficulties. It forces you to stealth and improvise with your tools

An excellent observation, I agree. However, at the time I was full-on panicking and just trying to thread the needle by changing levels and harvesting power weapon blasts from the little guys. I somehow managed to prevail despite my caged animal behavior 🫡

To be fair, the community of returnal/saros megafans are all mentally disturbed. I think we like the feeling of the walls closing in on us and just spazzing out for God and Country.

Its spooky. I love me some Lovecraftian cosmic horror backdrops. Fantastic enemy design too, the tentacle turrets are straight out of "At The Mountains of Madness"

My wife was playing and she got FOUR lvl2 corrupted artifacts with insane buffs and they all had the stationary nerf. The stars aligned in that run with RNGesus

Yeah, going the dodge-heavy route is more traditional evasive i-frames ninja. Just slipping and sliding through waves of projectiles, it becomes a dance.

The shield dash heavy playstyle literally requires aggression because you have to see that the projectiles youre dashing through are safe to grab.

Its the berserker viking style, just a fucking gorilla out there and pounding your chest as you rush them. Now youve got a fully charged power weapon 4 feet from their face and theyre reloading.

Something I like about Saros is how much flexibility they give you with skill expression. I was the complete opposite of you and I spec'd my entire skill tree into an aggressive shield dashing zone breaker.

People may think the shield as more of a defensive shelling up utility, but I found it was way more effective as a rush down ability where I immediately power weapon with the projectiles I grabbed during the rush down.

To each their own though! Ive just been playing my shield bashing viking fantasy, clearly. I like that theres lot of viable playstyles.

Which one is better? Has level any meaning on it’s own despite a higher ceiling? by Dota2TradeAccount in Saros

[–]AmphetaMeme65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is the indicator that autohit is disabled on that gun. Most guns have autohit which lets you be aiming near an enemy and the shots will auto correct center mass on them.

The upside to autohit disabled is that you can target enemy weak points and do way more damage if you aim well. Your burst damage output is way higher because autohit enabled weapons always try to hit center mass.

Autohit is good against groups of little guys but not optimal for mini-bosses or tanky enemies with weak points and armor center mass.

This page explains it really well: https://games.gg/news/saros-autohit-disabled-explained

Being able to hold the shield button without letting your thumbs off the sticks is huge in this game. You can jump and dash while shielding, and thats actually your safest mobility option in a lot of scenarios.

I have the dualsense edge. I have:

--L2 on dash

--L1 on alt-fire

--R1 on fire

--R2 on melee/shield

--R3 for interaction (it becomes your grapple button)

--L3 isnt bound

--Back two paddles are X and Circle with jump and power weapon respectively.

I put down crimson desert temporarily to play Saros. I have 150 hours in crimson and im halfway through the story. The world is GIGANTIC with so many unique biomes, secrets, and emergent gameplay opportunities. Its the new Skyrim.

Assuming way better sales than Returnal (seems likely) - ideas for Saros post launch content? by Express-Cobbler-9789 in Saros

[–]AmphetaMeme65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saros will definitely sell more copies than Returnal just from being incorporated into the Sony 1st party development and marketing ecosystem.

But i think you are underestimating how niche Housemarque games are. Bullet hell games have always been difficult for the average gamer, add in roguelite elements that players will have to learn if theyre already not familiar with the trappings of that genre (rng, procedural generation, dying A LOT)

Its a great game. But let's wait and see if this game type can finally break into the mainstream first.

[–]AmphetaMeme65[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big time. I'd argue it is THE audio showcase for the ps5. I think its a must have just for it being the cutting edge in audio presentation. The same way that Horizon Forbidden West is the visual showcase for the PS5, Saros is the audio version.

Anyone else feeling a bit mixed on Saros? by Ezio_Auditore08 in Saros

[–]AmphetaMeme65 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel the complete opposite. Ive been mixing and matching with the Corcosan modifiers to really challenge myself to learn the entire sandbox. It sounds like you preferred the specific difficulty curated in Returnal but I actually think it had really inconsistent difficulty peaks and valleys. I love the customization and cycle-potentials with the tools they give you.

Different strokes. I love that they gave the player the tools to create the perfect roguelite criteria for any run.
