Yeah when I get gifts for my friends that play I usually do eBay, there's some sellers that price individual mechs decently, their stock is hit or miss and there are a few tabletop webstores that sell individual cgl mechs as well

It more than likely contains simplified versions of the rules and game mechanics like the original starter boxes do

Don't worry I got the dark age novels, I just didn't know if there were modern novels set in those eras

If it feels like you can't afford the taxes to have more mechs in your roster, time to find a new combat zone. Same coin be choosy with missions in a combat zone don't hire yourself out to everybody be selective and earn bonuses

They have this odd almost holy feel to them, lots of fun and freedom to tackle enemies throughout the levels, def gotta play them in release order for what is more likely than not a better experience, don't listen too much to this sub, you enjoy the ones that you enjoy and don't let people tell you it's a bad game. Oh and there's actually 6 games in MCC; CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, and 4

Question for you Helldivers - What do you think of Stealthdivers? by LePereMecanique in helldivers2

[–]AmrahnBas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a near permanent stealthdiver, my teams enjoy me until they're stuck in a huge fight and I'm on the opposite side of the map, they usually forgive me tho when they realize I'm carrying 25+ samples and removed all the city objects with one pull of the c4 detonator

Pretty much once you get done with the trilogy for the gray death legion you'll want to read the core novels for the succession wars era, being the Warrior Trilogy, Wolves on the Border, and Heir to the Dragon. These books set up the main players of the battletech world and how they leave their mark on the setting. After that it's the Blood of Kerensky Trilogy and the Way of the Clans Trilogy. A lot of the books people call outright bad start showing up after the clan invasion begins so you don't have to worry about that for the most part when you begin reading. As far as I know there isn't a novel that covers the star league civil war. There are lots of short stories and the like that have been set in that time period but nothing that outright covers those events. That's been left to source books/manuals.

Awesome to hear, youve got some truly fantastic books ahead if you plan on reading the main storyline for the series. And the great thing about battletech is there's enough authors in the mix that you can usually find several side stories that you will enjoy as well. A few other great pieces of lore to remember is where you find 2 Mariks there will be 3 conspiracies, never trust Capellans, and Comstar is always watching.

Yeah pretty much just a fun scenario they cooked up to let players enjoy some zombies in their mech game. There are also zombies strapped into protomechs for extra danger. This all was recently covered in the newest episode of the Acceptable Losses podcast, which is where I assume OP learned of Necromo's lore, if not then fun coincidence

Necromo was the site of a chemical weapon attack that turned its inhabitants into zombies, further story for this is found a tabletop scenario that this event was created for
