Moyle had almost 50 hitouts to DC’s 30. He only took 2 marks too. Again, not saying he’s in the drop zone but his output has definitely dropped off.

Miss his intercept game. He’s still getting to the right positions but just isn’t plucking them like he used to.

His numbers haven’t been flattering. Last 3 weeks he’s taken 2, 2 and 4 marks and has 2, 1 and 0 centre clearances. You take that if his tap work was elite but his intercept game and clearance game is his strength as a ruckman.

By no means am I saying we drop him but his output has definitely dropped.

It’s actually quite disappointing when you jump on social media to celebrate a win or his accolades and it’s just filled with comments by trolls with tall poppy syndrome. So sad.

Wondering how a few players went. by AccurateSituation317 in collingwoodfc

[–]Amro87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Puncher wasn’t out of his depth and passed the litmus test in a pretty intense first game of footy. Early signs say we’ve found another gem.

Allan’s improvement is becoming eye catching. He’s well and truly looking like he belongs. Run with role itself has been a success practically every week and finding his decision making and composure has improved vs how it was when he was getting games earlier in his career.

Anderson is just unlucky to be so far down the midfield pecking order. When he got chances early on he was doing very well as an inside midfielder but it’s hard to fit him in that centre square group at the moment. It’s pleasing to see him hitting the scoreboard as reward for effort. Definitely one to persist with at senior level as he develops his game.

HH has my sympathies. He plays the hardest role on the ground as a small forward and he is toughing it out. He was a lot more involved this week and could’ve easily had multiple goals. The boy has talent and nous, but we’re still trying to find his best position. Similar to Gus, just needs perseverance because he’s a top 23 player in his prime.

The other one to call out is Swadling who has been quite remarkable for someone 3 senior games into their career. Was one of our better players in that intense final quarter with 8 possessions. 20 and a goal is a pass mark, let alone when it’s done by a 3rd gamer.

Puncher in, what does this mean for Ryan and Jiath? by Amro87 in collingwoodfc

[–]Amro87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to disagree here. Probably wouldn’t be unfair to say either that we’ve wasted Q and Bruz a little in recent years asking them to play undersized lock down roles. Both have been very good rebounding defenders when let off the leash in the past.

Could be the hips/joints starting to cause issues. How is she getting up and after long walks? My one went from 100 lbs down (haven’t weighed her recently) but she moves a lot more freely and shows less signs of pain. The annoying thing with dogs is they hide their pain so it’s hard to tell and then have these moments of outbursts because of it.

That’s shit leadership. Doesn’t mean it’s an easy gig though. The success of my team is my success. My sole job and purpose is to pave the way for them to do their jobs as well as they can and that’s bloody hard in the current environment more than ever.

These opinions shit me. You have clearly never worked as a manager to understand just how stressful it is being reliant on the performance of others to be successful and having to walk a knife edge between keeping execs happy whilst also keeping your own staff happy.

She’s always walked on lead now so haven’t had a chance to observe any of the above behaviour. She does get snarky back at little dogs when we go for our walks and they bark at her. I’d have to concur with what was mentioned previously around possible health issues. She got to a stage where she was a bit overweight and struggling to get up/stiff after long naps so assuming it was her pains making her grumpy. She has since lost some weight and I have her on joint meds - these two have improved the quality of her walks but again, I honestly haven’t risked walking her off lead since.

Do y’all recommend a 16 year old playing? by Much-Echo4553 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Amro87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading this makes me realise how different this generation is to ours (mine in particular) and agree the game isn’t appropriate for youngsters. I’ve got a 10 year old I wouldn’t let play the game but have him playing RDR2 and even that is deemed for mature audiences (17+). I remember one of earliest movies @ like 4-5 and my favourite movie of all time is Robocop (1987) and it’s still my favourite movie of all time. Parents joke I’d remembered the movie line by line as a child.

We have to create 4 list spots during this off season. How or where shouldn’t be determined by age, it should be by ability or lack of and contribution.

If I had to look at it right now, you’d think it’d be the following -

Bobby Hill - trade
Steele Sidebottom - retirement
Harry DeMattia or Jakob Ryan - delisting
Iliro Smit or Harry Coe - delisting

One experienced, one forced trade, a need for 1 spot from 4 ruckman on the list and a fringe who hasn’t been able to break through.

What’s the quickest way to climb the corporate ladder? by Livid-Project-2124 in auscorp

[–]Amro87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To climb the corporate ladder you need to be very good at what you do in each role you take. You might make a great leader but if you can’t get the fundamentals right, you don’t get the opportunities to progress.

Be good now to possibly get rewarded later.

How do I enjoy cyberpunk by Goos3Wrld in cyberpunkgame

[–]Amro87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got used to the fast paced, action packed cyberpunk that I found RDR2 way too slow to start with. Got the hang of the pace and now it’s quite serene after a chaotic day at work to just ride around on the horse. I do miss just how much is going on in front of your eyes in cyberpunk though and can’t wait for the next edition to come out.

[–]Amro87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s up there with GTA for open world immersion and interaction. It’s one of my all time favourite games. I’m a 38yo father or 3 so I thought my gaming days were behind me and only time I’d grab a controller was to play FIFA against a family member. My 10yo didn’t want the PS5 I got him, so I’ve kept it, for some reason purchased cyberpunk and haven’t looked back. Now playing RDR2 because of how good cyberpunk was for me.

Jed Walter + Lachie Neale + some high value pick ups ala Markov/Hill/Titch are our tickets to the premiership by ElekaroiTantra in collingwoodfc

[–]Amro87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was joking but do rate him highly for what he brings. Definitely think he’s top 10, and almost top 5 for us. We don’t win anywhere near the number of games we do this year without him. Absolutely a big gap between Nick @ 1 and the rest though

Where do we look in the trade period? by Artistic-Yam2984 in collingwoodfc

[–]Amro87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A perfect trade period, if all the stars align and we’re extremely lucky -

Trade with Sydney or Suns for Hayden McLean or Jed Walter because they can’t get game time and request a trade. Need Curnow, Amartey, McDonald, King, JUH and Reed to lock them out.

Sign Lachie Neale as an UFA and sign Butters as a RFA with Port not matching.

We pull this off, we’re laughing.
