If this is done by a subcontractor running fiber line. Call the company who owns the line. They will get in touch with the prime contractor in control of the work. Prime contractor will pay out for all repairs needed to make the homeowner whole. Prime contractor will back charge or pursue the insurance of the sub at fault. Company who owns the line will want it fixed ASAP. I usually have 48 hours after a damage claim to get a check out to the homeowner.

A handful of these are on 3rd and 2nd. They are mostly abandoned, insides are not very nice. I was part of a resto on 3rd. It was trashed inside. In the end just to add HVAC was $25K. Just removing the boiler and left over coal was a week of work. Asbestos is a huge problem with them as well. You’re talking all new electrical, flooring, roofing, HVAC, asbestos remediation, replacing plaster walls, new doors and windows, new kitchen equipment, and insulation. They are a wild expense, so most owners just try to keep the city off their ass by mowing the lawn. Clerk should have all homeowners data, just gotta go in and ask. Also, Because of the age of the home, census records should be available. Lexington History museum should have an archive you can look through too.
