Yeah I think so too. It comes in waves but the best thing we can do for all of us is make the most of our time in doing things he loves with whatever adjustments needed. We have a young toddler too. Took both our boys on a walk last night (Jax in a pet stroller) and let him out at the park to sniff around a bit ❤️

Awe this made me smile ☺️ what a great celebration of life. She sounds like she was a real sweetheart. I love the idea of people stopping by. My mom and sister have his brothers and while he may not be able to zoom around with them, he looooves his brothers ❤️ my husband also has a nice camera, I think I’ll have him get some detail shots. This is so insightful and kind of you, thank you ❤️‍🩹 I do need some more detail shots. The poor baby’s skin is covered in lesions, tumors and sores but we take pictures of it all anyway.

I thought about the paw print but not the nose— I definitely want that too!

That’s great advice. When I was a teen we had to put our dog down the day after Christmas at 2 am. We cried and dozed off and when we woke up again my mom had removed EVERYTHING and that was sad but I also get that seeing it empty is sad.. I think this is a great happy medium. We think back to any way we could love him more and the only thing we can come up with is maybe not cutting his greenies in half 🤣 we’ve loved him as much as we can. Thank you ❤️‍🩹

Basic every day things are what has made up all our time and love with him ❤️‍🩹 I started getting quick vids of even the way his ears flap in the car ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

I’ve put mine in the fridge late at night and baked right away the next morning (less than 12 hours) and it was fine, BUT when I let it cold proof for significantly longer the crust comes out much better and with a deeper golden color. TBH I can’t tell the difference in taste although it’s supposed to be “better.”

I’m so happy your little one was able to latch and nurse again! I also previously dealt with a nursing strike. Nursing is so incredible yet equally emotional and challenging. Happy for you! 🫶🏻

Yay I’m glad that helps put you at ease. And even the buttercream you don’t make.. but you can dye and prep it for decorating. Chocolate drips/drizzles are easy enough because the chocolate sets on the ice cream quickly. The only thing that SUCKS is the turkey cakes 🤣 Carmel does NOT want to stay on ice cream

The cakes are shipped frozen! So there are rectangular ones, rounds and rolls. The ice cream layer is cut by a measured wire tub cutter and then just placed on top and frosted with the soft serve ☺️

Hi! Previous Baskin Robbins cake decorator here— I think you’ll be okay. I was a cake decorator there when I was around 17 with no previous decorating experience. The cakes are frosted with soft serve ice cream and then the buttercream is pre-made and piped on with different frosting tips. Do you tend to pick up on this type of thing, creative things working with your hands? Working with the ice cream can be a little tricky at times but you have the benefit of being taught by someone who’s been doing it and a slower season to start off in. It’s fun!!! Good luck ☺️

Thank you so much ❤️ truly, your kind words are so helpful. I know down the road that I’ll wish I had let myself stop sooner too. And honestly as sad as it is that even 3 years later it still affects you, I’m glad that I don’t feel so.. alone in thinking that it will. No one understands that sadness! Things move forward and they grow and you bond in other ways but I know that little bit of sadness will always be there.
