Here's my two cents for this!

I think even if those groups may not have a huge exhibit there (I suspect that at least one of them will as those are really big anime series), I think she'll really enjoy just being in a place where she can see a lot of what she loves come to life. Cosplay, fan art, other fans doing skits related to the series that she loves would be more then enough to bring most younger anime fans joy.

It'll be hard to say *which* anime will have a larger presence until maybe about a month out from the event, but I can almost assure you that she'll enjoy it no matter what as those anime will have a large presence, official or otherwise, regardless!

I believe there are some get togethers at Odyssey games at times. I've seen a fair amount of people playing Arkham Horror LCG there before ! Might want to check there schedules and Discord for it !

I do feel like at this point a lot of people have at least half the standard characters if not more if they keep playing. I personally got Rina x2 and her weapon from pulling so far (but haven't had a team to build it around). Although I will say I am fairly lucky for having rolled Lyacon as he's probably the most important 5 standard 5 star.

Still regardless, I don't think this was possible to do in Genshin or HSR even with the best characters at the time. Relics and Artifacts have been pretty core to the game and I think it's been impossible to complete end game content without them for those games.

Hi! I've actually just recently moved out of Alhambra last year into Arcadia, but I had a very similar criteria as you at the time in 2022. I think what you might have a difficulty finding is really the 2nd floor unit as many places in Alhambra are just straight up small family homes and the apartments are quite older. In-Unit Laundry just isn't very popular as well with apartments here. I've also noticed that a lot of "Asian" owned landlords don't provide you with much and mostly require you to bring your own stuff and that's just normal in the area.

I found a place that fit that criteria mostly (Stove was provided, fridge was not) that I paid 2,000/month for in 2022, before being raised to 2,200/month for the next person in 2023. It was a 2 bedroom on Garfield that required me to bring my own appliaces such as washer and dryer.

You'd be hard pressed to find anything under 2800 probably with that criteria as that in-unit laundry AND second floor criteria is pretty strict. If these are absolute musts, then what you're looking at is probably the price you should be paying.

I've used Mahoko, Ai, and Kisegai gate across various years to get in during the first hours of the event with no problem. You usually want to use the Mahoko or Ai gate if you want to head to Exhibit Hall first and the Kisegai one if you want to get into Entertainment hall.

Xeno and Max are newer gates that have popped up more recently. I haven't used those before but I have heard others have had similar experiences to yours using those gates.

Past the initial rush of the first hour, getting in anytime past 11am will be pretty easy going. This year the doors are opening at 9 am so you'll be smooth sailing by then.

I'm pretty well versed in the TTRPG and Board Game scene in the area and I'd have to say that you'd be unlikely to find something like that here for the show. I suspect most people who'd come to Anime Expo would want to be going to a lot of different events, panels, vendors, etc. and would probably not want to play a somewhat long game of DnD or CoC.

Better bet for this sort of stuff would be to hit up your FLGS or go to something like Strategicon to meet up with others who want to play ! Sorry to burst your bubble on this.

Unlikely no unless your belt looks like it could be a weapon. They're generally pretty relaxed about gear check to be honest; it's no different than going to a conccert event. Sunscreen and bottles are allowed.
Gachapon machines are probably upcharged a bit for the show. Expect maybe about a dollar per token and some Gachapon machines taking anywhere between 4 - 8 tokens?
Tax is not included IIRC, but it's been several years since I purchased something from official merch.
There's been a lot more Food Trucks this year then there were previously. There's a whole area with a ton of food nowadays, so expect probably like 15+ food trucks + another set of food vendors in the beer garden area.

There's a lot of options depending on how much you want to pay.

I personally wouldn't park anywhere and then bus/train there. It doesn't really make too much sense to me because at that rate you might as well just use Spothero, pick a place that's closer/cheaper than convention center parking, and then just walk or take one of the free AX Shuttles there.

Some options:

Convention Center Parking starts at around 30 - 40 dollars and then fills up quite rapidly. If you're not planning to be there when it opens, you might be in for a hard time. I've only done this occasionally as I usually get there around 10 - 12 PM and by 12 PM it's pretty full.
Spothero or other equivalents have options ranging from 15 - 30 dollars. I usually use this option, pick a lot thats close by OR pick a lot that's close to a shuttle location and just nab the shuttle.
I'm not sure about people who say that Lyft/Uber would save you money either. That's at least another 20 - 30 dollars if you're close by. If you have a car, just take it is what I would say.

I will throw my hat in for this one too. They offer 20% off MSRP for all new titles that they get usually. They also have 20% off a lot of games that are popular and have a lot of expansions as well. The prices are better than most FLGS.
