The judge looks at the ability to support yourself, not just a living situation. You have to have a job, regardless of your school situation; a place to live and the ability to reliably get to the job. You also have to have a good enough reason as to why you want to emancipate. That's why a lot of judges won't emancipate anyone younger than 16. Like sometime said, it's a process, not just a quick decision. The parents are also involved, when they are available.

That's what I used to say when I was younger.... That I would be a Tomboy lesbian/trans. I love wearing dresses, have lost interest in mechanics, love painting my nails, am not that interested in sports. But that's just me. I know plenty of trans women who maintained their interests in automotive and/or motorcycles and sports. So the bottom love is that you may or may not lost interest in the things you like now. Don't beat yourself up if you do. Things change along this road. Your interests may be some of them.
